Apparently all VITAMIN C, Supplements are Too high in Oxalate, so shouldn’t be taken. And we not getting enough Vit C from our Foods! Tough to know who to believe.. And Unfortunately NO medical Practitioners Test accurately for Copper. Only alternative Doctors do this! Excellent discussion, Main Stream Medicine needs to Take more NOTE of this VALUABLE information! A discussion with Dr. Ben Lynch, Dr. Morley Yourself and Prof Bikman would Be informative! As.you state Dr.Morley, the food we eat , grow in soil depleted and. are void of minerals needed for life and health. . We need.to address farming practices and support small local farmers that grow healthy food.

Dr Morley, the root cause has been so timely in my opinion in my case dealing with the onset of neuropathy . Like with you I had.the come to Jesus moment. God sent I believe , as after going in circles on the solution I implemented your root cause strategy. . I'm glad to say the symptoms are miraculously improving. .

I teach a class in climate science. Stick with osteoporosis. Diet data is full of confounders, but at least it's better for you to be wrong about diet than about climate, which you haven't studied.

If an 85-lb person wore a 15-lb vest, or 15% of their weight, vs. a 170-lb wearing 20lb, it's almost an insignificant statistical difference. I doubt you could measure the results vs. the benefit from exercising 85% of your weight.

Are you aware that there are whole-body vibration devices for livestock, especially horses? My horse trainer has one for her horses, both performance and non-performance. I believe the one she has in the barn is called "Thera-plate." Horses stand on it with all four feet. There are local area vibration products for horses as well, pads that can be placed on their backs or hindquarters. They're increasingly possible with trainers for increasing muscle strength, especially in horses that cannot be worked hard because of certain injuries. My trainer gets on it herself--and I have no idea what its frequency and displacement are...I've never been on it while it's working.

I was diagnosed early due to family history. Even went to Rheumatologist who recommended recommended evenity injunctions for 1 yr. Ins was pre approved. Ins paid for Dec, Feb, March injections but refused Jan. Dr sent all nessissary chart notes, test results ect....We contesed + reviewed by insurance MD + still refused to pay. Obviously insurance would rather pay for fracture + all that it entails ....Obviously we can't afford $4000 per month for Evenity. It's BS

THANK YOU so much for this! Big old light bulb over the head! You caused me to go hunting & lack of copper is the lynchpin to all my wacky blood work...crazy trigs/cholesterol, low white blood cell count, anemic, low ferritin, NAFLD. ALL laid out in this great paper: "Dysregulation of Iron & Copper Homeostasis in NAFLD (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4342600/). Exactly what you're saying here. And all my Dr. wanted to do was shove a statin down my throat. This ticks all the boxes! Thanks again!!!

Afloat on a sea of conflicting and ever-changing information, people are stuck in a chronic state of anxiety about food, supplements, exercise, medicine, etc. I can't think of anything worse for your overall health, than this state of affairs. Into this environment, come legions of experts, often preying on your anxieties, and in many cases, profiting from it. Caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware, not just of products, but of information. Remember: Knowledge is not wisdom.

I am 72 years old and have severe osteoporosis due to genetics in my family. Grandmother, mother, aunt all from the same side of the family. I have looked into taking AlgaeCal in the past because of their proven reputation and success with this type of calcium, but the price is just not affordable for me even with the discount. It's discouraging that something that can be so effective for so many people is so costly to the point where it limits many people from being able to purchase and benefit from this supplement. If companies really want to help people then they need to stop charging excessive amounts of money for their products.

Wow...a lot to digest... Interesting take on multiple fronts, but for me, raises more questions. I'm sure I'm not the only one who had/has trouble ciphering Morely's findings for all of the interactions described and the roles all 3 play in our health. For me a consensus on what, how much and a supplementation regimine would be extremely helpful. I'm still trying to wrap my head around vitC and Zinc. Please offer some advice on a minimum supplementation recommendation for over and under 50 when it comes to minerals vitamins regardless of all the longevity products out there for those of us without a PhD in chemistry. We know getting them from food has been intentionally bioengineered out of our food supply.

I am menstruating (28 day cycles) woman at 45 with osteopenia. I have to treat myself. Pushed for a DEXA since my mom can't walk. Spine is just barely normal, but hips are around -1.6 mean T. So why? 12 years of SSRI use, and ADHD meds for some time. Looked them up! BONE LOSS. Dramatic for Vyvanse. Docs just dole out all these drugs knowing or not knowing the risks without explaining. SO many people are on SSRIs. My mother can't walk due to all the compression fractures in her foot and spine - she's 76. Was on SSRIs for at least 15 years. It's horrid. But we, as a species, aren't supposed to live this long. For 300,000 years, modern Homo sapiens have had our bodies; in the past 100 years we doubled our lifespan. We're not designed for this. I think what medicine has done to us is heinous. Artificially extending our lives forever whilst treating ONLY SYMPTOMS - never looking for the cause. Never caring about our overall health. Treating one bone at a time due to insurance authorizations - not looking at the whole system. Why do we put up with this again? And how much have insurance companies driven this kind of imprecise medicine? I'm over it. If I end up like my mom, I'll just get a fentanyl problem. In the meantime, I'm ditching my ADHD meds, though I truly truly need them, going to do loads of weight bearing exercise and strength training, will get to the bottom of the vitamin D malpbsorption - I may have leaky gut or celiac. Will get a test. I'm not resting until I've reversed this thing. Craziest of all? I went to a hormone specialist at 45, despite having perfectly on cue cycles. Why? Feeling shitty and also because of my high risk for osteoporosis. Well, this savvy young doc said estrogen was fine, but I have basically NO testosterone. Testosterone is thought to build bones. It can certainly boost mood and give you the energy to go to the gym - and I've had no energy for the gym since I turned 40! So I'm going to take her advice and do low-does testosterone transdermal cream. If nothing else, just eat flaxseeds and take zinc and DHEA! This should also really help my ADHD symptoms. But I have to play doctor, go off my insurance plan, or just push and push to get proper healthcare.

If one does Osteostrong and sees improvements over time, presumably they need to continue it for a lifetime in order to maintain it? I do CrossFit and already lift heavy regularly, but it has not been sufficient to keep me from losing bone density post menopause. I want to continue CrossFit for the functional and strength benefits, but I'm now thinking I may need to do Osteostrong as well.

I have osteoporosis and I swim just about everyday even in winter, living in Florida. I use LARGE fins for resistance and do the breaststroke for one hour straight. No too fast, not too slow, just steady. Sometimes I flip over and swimming backwards, point is to consistently move against the resistance of the water. Switching up my arm movements also. It has helped me immensely. I also take all the vitamin supplements except calcium and eat a low carb diet. I am 66 and NOT on any medication because I took Bonita for about 6 months and my upper back teeth broke off, and when I went to the dentist he asked me if I was taking any osteoporosis medication. I stopped immediately after that and still had cracking teeth for a while after that. My doctor wanted me to try Prolia and of course I said NO. I had to have those 6 teeth removed and have a retainer now. I also exercise with resistance bands.

Great info regarding the danger to long term bone health from swimming. Another sport that is even more detrimental to bone health is cycling. Elite cycling caused my osteoporosis at a relatively young age and led to multiple fractures. There are many studies highlighting this risk. One excellent study is titled: "Longitudinal Changes in Bone Mineral Density in Male Master Cyclists and Nonathletes". It showed that 89.5% of male elite masters cyclists developed osteopenia or osteoporosis. 😮
