Hey guys! This one's a concept mix illustrating almost all what you need to know about willpower. It has to be an element of great significance. If you don't have enough, you're prone to deteriorating your productivity, health and well-being. INTERNALIZE THE MAIN POINTS: --->How to maintain willpower throughout the day: 1-Emotional control: regulate your thoughts and emotions so you're able to maintain a good mood therefore willpower. 2-Impulse Control: Don't suppress your cravings, replace them. make a plan of action in advance on how you will behave the moment you're tempted. 3-Performance control: monitor where you spend most of your attention. Make sure it's not invested in highly stimulating activities (T.V - Porn.. etc) these burn up a lot of energy. 4-Decision Making Fatigue: Taking too much time to decide or worrying much can burn up your fuel faster. Be more decisive. --->How to Recharge Willpower: 1- A good night sleep: 7 hours a night minimum (some people need less or more, it depends) 2- Power nap: no more than 20/ 25 minutes. If you pass that threshold, you'll feel groggy afterwards. 20 minutes as a limit because it has to do with your internal clock and sleep cycles (google it) --->How to get a bigger willpower tank: 1- To be involved in a continual rhythm of challenges will pressure you to break through your limits. That's what you really need if one is willing to toughen up. (I was a bit close to the mic this time, I'll experiment with it till I get the proper voice depth) (Subconscious not sub's'conscious, it happens sometimes when you're animating hastily) Hope you liked it. Cheers:)

You are not presenting the content of the book quite correctly. Also: why do you blame "negative people", instead of purely rationally explaining the features and consequences of an negative outlook on life in a neutral tone? In Psychology we don't stigmatize people as being "negative", we look at mindsets and causations!

Okey then, what are the benefits of being negative?

Optimize Your Journey You don't quite seem to grasp the point here: In psychology, we don't classify a personality as being "negative". We look at the outcomes of specific individual behaviour and patterns of thought to see whether they are negative or positive. If the outcome is negative and has a problematic effect on someone's life, we try to explore alternative behaviours - this is how we work.

Really appreciate all your work on this, you've taken so much good info and made it clear and interesting. Thanks for sharing your own examples too. I really like the point about pre-planning things to avoid willpower depletion - feel more inspired now to put that into action :)

You point out so many wiknesses in human nature. unlike others you come out with solutions to all the drowbaks you outline. To me you are among a few others a saviour.

He is not a "saviour", he is a KZbin channel owner, who summarizes other peoples books and generates money by doing so. You are clearly very naive and uninformed.

Hans Franz I think the truth is somewhere in between. He's doing something good for society by sharing the knowledge he gains from books. It's not entirely altruistic as he generates a bit of money from adsense but it's nowhere near enough to make him rich.

Ego depletion has recently been called very seriously into question. Right now that whole chapter is on hold at best, as far as I have been able to see.
