#1: Sleep enough. #2: Meditate. #3: Willpower is lie a muscle, it gets tired. Do the most important thing first.

I can't help but notice that No3 doesn't actually increase anything. Unless the point is that you trick yourself into better structured willpower exercise, especially with that workout metaphor he has in the video.

I stopped the habit of reading the newspaper in the morning, shifted it to later in the day. I found that those mostly depressing news items really affect my thoughts and I end up searching the Internet based on what I read and in the process waste a lot of the precious morning hours.
@syoudipta7 жыл бұрын
News outlets focussing on sensational news items for ratings isn't necessarily a bad thing, however oftentimes this can lead to other more important but not-so-sensational news being left out of coverage. However what should be a real concern for us is the media working as a mouthpiece for establishment propaganda.

+Andrenergy And what kind of meditation? Just sitting 5 minutes quiet and only facing on your breath?
@andrenergy39349 жыл бұрын
During meditation you just observe. You can meditate on your breath or just listen to the sounds around you or feel through every part of your body. 5 minutes is not very much I would recommend 10 mins. The more often you meditate the more you will see of it´s effect on the mind. But it takes a while to get into it, you have to practice it. Also I recommend "Headspace". I started meditating with that app. It´s like a guided meditation and very helpful to understand about meditation.
@Silagane9 жыл бұрын
Andrenergy Thanks alot! I will try that
@andrenergy39349 жыл бұрын
Practice... Focus on your breath, I had kindof the same, but I think it´s really important to improve your Attention and Focus. When I started out I could almost not focus on my breath for more than some seconds, there always came thoughts into my mind, what helped me are guided meditations. There someone tells what you do so you have at least something todo, it´s easier for you I think. But please practice it the benefits are awesome :D

Hey! I find your videos very good and all, but there's another thing I wanted to talk about. English is not my first language and although I understand perfectly when I read it, I often miss words or sentences when listening to podcasts or YT videos, and I don't know if you always speak like that or if you're making a special effort in your videos, but your voice is always so calm and clear, I needed to point that out and to thank you for it, you're sharing great ideas and helping people like me get used to your language, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

I just started getting into meditation a couple days ago thanx to your video & another video I watched teaching me how to meditate. I started with 20 mins the 1st time & it wasn't easy to clear my head but I felt accomplished that I went through it. The next day I was supposed to do it again but I was so caught up on my computer I forgot to do it. So 2day I decided to do 30 mins & I felt like I did better than the 1st time & now I'm looking forward to being consistent each day for at least 30 mins to build more grey matter in my pre-frontal cortex as well to help overcome my cravings & temptations. It won't be easy but within time I know meditation will work for me just like it will eventually for anyone who is willing to try it. But anyways, keep up the videos man! Real talk.

Great video, exactly what I needed recently. these videos are so much more accessible than books, sometimes you need a video more than a book because you don't yet have the willpower to open the book or the willpower to start working, All I needed was a very minimal amount of effort to click on your video rather than a comedy or a music video and from there I just got motivated enough to actually work.
