Hi! I’m Guh, thanks a lot for reviewing my setup 🙂! The panel swap on the H1 do increase the efficiency a lot. After running Cinebench and Heaven Benchmark simultaneously for about an hour, CPU never goes over 60-65 degrees C, and the GPU doesn’t go over 72-73. And that’s GPU and CPU running both at 100%. The chair was paid for by my employer, as I’ve been mostly working from home for the past 18 months. I could never afford that on my own. I chose an ultra wide monitor mostly for work, as it replaces 2 monitors in my opinion, with the benefit of having no center bezel. I work as a software engineer btw. The gaming experience is mixed up, not that many games that I play support 21:9. But I don’t mind the black bars. The peripherals are exactly what you told in the video, G915, G502, and G533 for the headset hanging under the desk. Z625 for the speakers also. Keep up with your channel! Thanks to you I’ve gone from a monstrous Corsair air 540 to this current setup 😅

Looks like I made it just in time! I tend to zone into my main monitor a lot when playing, so turning my head is not something I do frequently. A left sided mount would be proper. Playing at 50-70cm/360 (Source 2.1-1.5 @ 400 dpi) combined with longer than average forearms is a cause for the extreme mouse space. The mouse grip tape is kinda the bridging point between the 80g G pro and the 60g Superlight, increases friction and makes it easier to move. The bottle on the stack of GFUEL is an amino acid called L-theanine. Appreciate your concern for my caffeine intake lol. I tend to cycle off every 6-8 weeks to reset my tolerance. - David

I personally have my two monitors in the "centered split" configuration. One is a 4k for media and another a 1080p144hz for gaming. When i'm focusing on gaming and performance, i'll pull my monitor closer and center it a bit more. Monitor arms allow for a lot of flexibility which is nice. If i'm focusing on media then i'll just center myself in front of my 4k monitor.

That Rode mic, I have the same mic in my own setup. At one point during the pandemic there weren't any proper mics for sale and I needed anything. I have 2, 32 inch, 1440p monitors at 170hz and 144hz, and the 3rd one is 4k used in portrait mode but I pull it out and turn it into landscape when there is 4k media. There's rarely anywhere that uses 4k so I use the monitor in other ways until it is needed. I love the screen real estate because I can create all sorts of screen snap features with powertoys to put my calculator somewhere, to excel sheets, to research and product details etc. In a ecommerce business, import export, logistics business with all sorts of platforms to sell on, it would only make sense I need lots of cores, ram and screen real estate.

More screens is just so nice for productivity or even semi-productivity. Keeping an IDE open on one screen, music on another screen, docs/StackOverflow on a third, fourth can just be Reddit would be a dream for me, but most I've ever had is 3 screens, but I always feel constrained by lack of screen real estate. Can always take one of those less productive monitors and throw something useful there too.

to answer "what do you do with all those monitors"? (more so an aspirational answer, most i've had is 3, with one being a laptop): Work! I'm a DevOps engineer, and I often have multiple different projects/tickets I'm working on at once, and also have lots of docs, etc. to view whilst I work. so having one monitor for slack, just all the time, another for my terminal, for many others another for an IDE/text editor (I use vim so not applicable for me personally), another for the docs for whatever i'm working on, sometimes even 2 monitors for docs is nice for when you're referencing multiple sources of info at the same time... and if you want to work on 2 things at the same time, then you can double most of that and the amount of screens you can utilize gets pretty damn high

i can say about myself, that using the screen setup like the dude in 5:25 is very niche and works very well for certain jobs. i'm a hardware engineer, so i have a portrait monitor for my 3D models/PCB designs, 2 regular oriented for coding/Emails/whatever. also, if you're in the stock market, this monitor setup is awesome.

That off-center thing is a thing I'm trying to figure out. I haven't bought my monitors yet, but I want a fast one for gaming (which would lead me to a 1440p one) and a 4k one for content creation. But I need the main monitor to be centered in front of me, so I'm not sure yet how I'm going to set them up as the main monitor will change depending on what I'm doing.

@vinyfiny20193 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I switched from a 32" main with 2 smaller monitors to a single 43" 4k and it's a huge improvement because I have more of the screen in my cone of vision. Previously I was panning my head back and forth all day. I use DisplayFusion for easier multi-window use.

12:52 ... some descent speakers. ... Am not being picky. Just a shame so many gamers seem put their effort into the PC, and use low quality sound. Better speakers are more immersive. Plus when a game plays some wicked tune, you can reach forward and boost the vol. Yeah I kow you can do that with normal PC speakers. I once blew a laptop sub-speaker playing a Serious Sam: TFE track too loud. You'll get more body to sound, with well chosen desktop speakers. E.g. you could pick up discontinued Q Acoustics BT3 for the same price as some Logitech. (Maybe chuck in a good desktop DAC too, and bypass the motherboard sound-chip.) Anyway if you're broke, just ignore me. I am not looking down on any other gamers. Something to think about, and that's all. Am not going to say what speakers are on my desk, because no-one would believe me.
