Hey recommendation, there's an application designed by aperture grille another youtuber they haven't made content in a year but they created an application/game called "frog pursuit" and it's a lot better than blurbusters for looking at motion clarity/ghosting. Basically it's frogs instead of UFO's moving across the screen. It's also a lot better being a native app vs an online connected visual game. There's also a lot more depth on frog pursuit like for colors etc...

As someone who have went to a few dozens LANs a few years ago, the XL2546 was a god sent. The ergonomics were just too good to pass on for anyone looking to win. Having those marks to get exactly the same setup as at home, the handle for transporting was top tier. Monitor in a hand, PC in the other and everything else in a backpack and you're set. You could also just get one lended by a friend or something and everything would look exactly the same. It's just a different demographic. Good video as always, keep up the good work dude 👍

Without knowing too much of how these tournaments and organisations work, I'm also gonna guess it has to do with bulk deals, sponsorship and consumer awareness among these businesses. While a monitor isn't as preparatory, I can imagine it is like artists using the Adobe package to design / create artwork. Sure there are good alternatives to many of these apps, but when something becomes an "industry standard", most people use the same tools.

You also have to consider that BenQ is a brand from AUO but AUO is also the A in Acer. They can keep the gaming Zowie monitors under the BenQ brand feeling like the best "tool" for what you're trying to accomplish (which by the way they've also done to their professional displays, those barely get refreshed and are amongst the favourites with photographers) whilst using Acer a brand they also have some influence over as the main market brand for everything from the family computer monitor to the budget oriented segment and the new 'trial' products like a G-sync HDR monitor which they know will sell low volumes. I'm sure they're well aware of what they release under the BenQ and Zowie sub brands vs. the panels they produce and sell and earn money off of in Acer products where a failure might not be that big of a deal compared to if a BenQ Zowie product had a massive flop and caused them a PR disaster.

I have recently been considering upgrading my gaming monitor however. Not gonna lie that Viewsonic monitor looks pretty tempting though with my guess being that Zowie has something good in the works I might hold back for now and see what punches they try to throw before making any decisions. Though on the topic of monitors, when can we get manufacturers to stop using Grey to Grey timings as their 'response time'? You mentioned OLED briefly. Any recommendations on an OLED monitor? I'm highly interested in the upcoming QD-OLED monitors/TVs coming out this year. First time I might not need to use Digital Vibrance in a decade (or more).

Asus has a couple qd-oled monitors in the queue with a standard 16:9 aspect ratio, but the problem with w-oled & qd-oled right now is that the yields aren't good enough to cut smaller panel sizes. The smallest Asus will offer will be 42" & I think it'll be a few more years before we see 27" panels unfortunately. So for competitive shooters I think IPS will stay relevant for a little longer, but once qd-oled gets down to that size it's game over.

I just bought a XL2546K because of your videos just because I wanted CRT motion clarity back to LCD and boy I was impressed. The monitor has the sharpest image that I've ever seen in motion. The colors are actually way nicer than I thought, they are pretty vibrant for a TN panel, and the contrast while it's clearly worse than a VA panel or even a IPS panel, it's not a night and day difference. Compared to my LG CX OLED 65" though, of course that image is in a whole new level, but it doesn't have the motion resolution of this monitor. I've compared side by side with a 27" 1440p IPS panel and honestly, 1440p on 27" and 1080p in 24" are basically the same thing sharpness-wise. And 27" is not much bigger than 24" to make a real difference in "imersion", nothing compared with the difference between the imersion that 65" brings compared to 24". I basically love the 2 experiences I have. If I'm feeling like playing a very fast paced shooter, I play in the Zowie, if I want the best image quality and still have a very fluid image, I play on the LG CX. It has been a very good experience.

@gabrielpinheirodecarvalho80232 жыл бұрын
@@tienathua1820 Apex uses TSAA and Battlefield use TAA for anti-alasing so they do look blurry indeed because of this. If you have the GPU power, try running the game at 200% resolution scale, you will lose a lot of FPS, but the image will look a lot sharper even with TAA. You can also force TAA off via commands in Battlefield and on Apex you can just turn it off, but the image will get very aliased if you don't use the 200% resolution scale. TAA only looks acceptable in 4k IMO, 1080p its just too low of a resolution to make TAA look good without being all blurry. That's not the monitor's fault though. My point is, if your original image is sharp, it will stay sharp even in motion, that's why I said it's the sharpest image I've ever seen in MOTION

Hi, I have a question. I am currently planning to buy a new monitor, but unfortunately it is difficult to get the ViewSonic XG2431 in Germany. If anything, I would get it here for a surcharge of 115€, which would make it 409€ instead of the actual 280€. hence my question, would it be better to get the Acer Nitro XV252Q-F? since it would then be only 20€ different to what the ViewSonic would cost here, or is there another equally good option for me?

I've ordered and tested the Zowie XL2746S after i initially tried the Asus VG279QM but then watched your video "why i downgraded from 360hz to 240hz". The effect of DyAc+ definitely is noticeable, no doubt about that, but actually doesn't really adds to my abilities more than a few percent and only in certain scenarios anyway. On the other hand it was a huge downgrade to the Asus though. The Zowie was about double the price. The image quality, although not so much noticeable ingame, is absolutely horrible(!) in everything else. The Asus isn't the best either but still makes a huge difference. The monitor is also very bulky, especially the bezel, which also looks very old compared to the Dell i use as a second monitor on my desk. So, after a few days i returned the Zowie and went back to the Asus. If you just use the OverDrive (80) at 280hz, the motionblur is actually less compared to ELMB sync turned on. Still, not exactly on the same level as the Zowie, but close enough to appreciate the much better image quality, price level and design of the monitor. Of course this is just my experience, if you really belong to the top 10% worldwide you surely think otherwise. The viewsonic was no option for me since it's to small for my usecase and wasn't available in my region anyways. If my budget was higher, i'd probably go for the Acer Predator XB273UGX, as it's resolution is higher, input lag and motion blur are very low and color accuracy is top-notch.
