A Gundam with Super Robot abilities is obviously going to have a better showing against Optimus than Gundam did. God Gundam is one of those. A lot of the Best 8 units from _Gundam Build Fighters_ also have Super Robot-type abilities, but they're models. Even 00 Raiser tips into Super Robot territory with _Quantization_ and _Raiser Sword_ .

5:53 To answer that question, there are several gundams that are just plain unfair to fight against. Wing's Zero system doesn't even compare. Any gundam from the 00 serries would be a serious threat to Optimus, particularly the 00 Quanta, which can basicly just decide that the hit it got hit with never happened. There's also the Turn A gundam which has an attack that basicly releases nano-machines that eat up all matter in comes into contact with. That particular ability "Moonlight Butterfly" sent humanity back to the dark ages once it's been activated. That's right, it nearly destroyed the world. There are several other units that could stand up just fine to Optimus, such as the Nu Gundam, which as far as I can tell, is the final machine Amuro pilots. With those autonamous flying weapons he controls through his newtype abilities, the Fin Funnels, he can fire powerful shots, create energy bariers and he can pull off several other shenanigans with them too. The unit itself is aterrifyingly more advanced suit then the RX-78-2. Coming equiped with a regular beam saber, a more potent one, missiles under the shield, a 5 shot rocket launcher, an upgraded beam sniper, deecoy mines and a psycho-frame which enhances newtype abilities. Still has head vulcans too. Another possible contender would be Barbatos Lupus Rex from Iron Blooded Orphans, since it's built to be savage in melee and it by default can ignore beam weaponry. The pilot interface in that thing is nasty, but effective. Pluging up the brain to the computer through the spinal cord, it can actually have a better range of movement then most other gundams. G Gundam machines are similarly threatening to Optimus.

Any Gundam would have stood a better chance in an attempt to fight Optimus. I loved the fight but everyone knew either a fan of either franchise KNEW Optimus would win which shouldn't have been an immediate factor to KNOW hell when the the teaser showed who fought who 3 weeks ago I knew Optimus WOULD WIN since the OG Gundam had very limited ammo and fighting capablility compared to any other Gundam

Actually they neutered the RX-78 some here. A couple big things were missed. If anything when did ammo become a factor? However if its a factor then they missed the full details as more rounds in the "clip" and extra magazines.

God Gundam isn't about the color, so much as the fact that the God Gundam's raw power is outstanding and that's before the Super Mode, and Domon Kasshu might be one of the most martially gifted pilots ever in the Gundam series. Power levels are BS. DBZ attempts to operate with pseudo-realistic physics and boundaries; whereas, with a cartoon like PPG, they routinely ignore those limitations in the name of spectacle or comedy because it is meant to be a fun cartoon. Search PPG episodes long enough, and you'll probably find a throw-away joke that technically gives them an ability so insane or so powerful that a Z-fighter won't have a way to defend against it.

I've read some chapters in the manga, she's not a pushover.... but honestly i just don't think she matches up as her performance varies between which body she uses. Her civilian bodies and human body are not suited for fighting at all, but her tuned body would easily overload if pushed to the limit in this case, so the only solution would be to use her Imaginos body which would easily put her on just about equal footing to Dio (who is equal to casshern technologically in casshern sins) she would have the healing factor which Casshern has also but she is NOT immortal and that would ultimately be the deciding factor sadly.

Amuro would still lose to Optimus even with the Hi-nu, all the Hi-Nu has that the RX-78 doesn't is that it has anti beam coating, fin funnels, and psycho frame surrounding the cockpit. Nothing crazy like a full psycho frame, no I-Field generators, etc...

About the stupid car choices Wheeljack was a Lancia stratos, sunstreaker and sideswipe are Lamborghini, Jazz was a Porsche 911 and Mirage was an F1 car. In cybertron and Robots in Disguise(2001) prime was a fire truck.

List of Gundam models that have a higher chance at beating Optimus. Turn A Gundam Gundam AGE MK-3 (AGE System) Gundam Wing Zero Gundam 00 Quanta Strike Freedom Gundam Gundam Unicorn Full Armor (Destroy Mode) All of them have some sort of Variable System that gives them an edge, such as the Zero System, or some sort of overpowered ability that makes them immune to something or gives them OHKO ability, or just flat out makes them stronger,faster and better such as Turn A's Moonlight Butterfly System or the 00 Quantum Burst System, Unicorn's Destroy Mode ect. They would still be extremely close fights though, but i'd argue that most of the pilots of these are more experienced than Amuro Ray is and some of them are a bit more Iconic(00, Strike, Wing Zero). Note: I loved this fight so much!!!! I've read, watched or listened to every single gundam series(Some of them were radio shows btw) and i'd love to see more Gundam in DBX or Death Battle. It's amazing watching my favorite series of all time get some recognition.

Energon beam weapons aren't lasers. Any dumb unobtainum based invincibility cheat the gundams can come up with is countered by something equally as dumb in the transformers lore. The fact that gundam fanboys can't do that simple math is just sad at this point. They don't bother with stupid complaints like "but gundams don't take damage." because those complaints are either disproved within the series lore or they don't have any real impact on the fight.

Particle beams wouldn't work the way any fictional one is portrayed. And since the RX-78-2 can't survive the heat of re-entry unassisted, it's clearly not immune to every level of heat, which is the metric on which all laser-based weaponry (fictional or not) does function. If the Gundam were immune to heat, why would it even need it's signature heat-proof shield? Finally, while the animation is just one of many possible ways it could have gone down, in the way the fight is choreographed Optimus never actually does any damage to the Gundam with his only laser-based weapon (the Matrix likely doesn't qualify as such, and even if it did, no Gundam is as durable as Unicron), he only lands glancing blows that throw Gundam a bit off balance, so I don't understand what you're even complaining about.

If you were concerned about cross comparisons in different situations, you could have used the Strike Rouge with the Ootori Striker Pack and Kira piloting it. Because it's made of spare parts for it, anything that Kira did throughout SEED in the Strike could be applied to it. That aside, could you do a Gunpla version of Optimus vs Build Strike Gundam Full Package.

I am well aware of that. However, the SEED timeline is one of the most highly regarded in japan, and the Strike Rouge shares many of the same traits and limitations of the RX-78 mk II. As to using the film series Optimus, that was taken care of in my request.
