I only discovered Origa recently. And I find that she has passed away. Rest in peace. Similarly, I discovered Ofra Haza and Teresa Teng...but only well after they passed away. So many angels. But I can still hear their enchanting voices. At least I have that...and some videos of them in their prime. I do love this version of Polyuska Polye.

I just re-found this fantastic song, after many years being "'lost' to me. First heard this while stationed in Japan with the Navy in '99 or so. A friend eventually gave me a CD with this song 'burned' on - unfortunately in a rush to leave, later, left the CD in the player in my old Toyota Lt. Ace van !) (then until recently, didn't know the name of the song or singer - for that matter; originally, I thought the singer was Japanese (on the vers I remember) also thought at the time the song was sung in Japanese (?) - perhaps I heard another vers ? Still this version, sung by this amazing Russian Woman is at least equally stunning (to me) - more proof "the You Tube"is a great part of modern life, today >>>>
