Yes Mr hair chemist who hasn’t got a medical degree! What the hell would you know about long-term side-effects of oral minoxidil? Do you plan to take it for the next 20 years of your life? Have you any data to say this drug is safe for extended periods five years of usage does not make a drug safe, what about for the next 20 years or 25 years what about when you’re in your 50s and you still want to keep your hair are you going to be able to take this drug then? Will your heart be strong enough to cope with it???? The fact is nobody knows for sure the long-term outcome of taking this drug and it will have to be a long time if you want to keep your hair there is no point in going out and having hair transplants if 10 to 15 years down the line you are directed by a doctor to cease oral minoxidil and watch the hair for you will look like a freak!!!! I think this is a very dangerous road you’re travelling but that’s your choice, I am angry the fact that you’re allowed to voice it and influence others who may be less educated and more desperate to keep their hair at any cost!
@christianblake39972 жыл бұрын
Seriously, what would you do if 10 to 15 years from now you developed some kind of arrhythmia and your doctor told you you could no longer take oral minoxidil what would you do seriously? I mean all those hair transplants you’ve had? What a waste and the internal damage just to keep a head of hair! The funny thing is you’re not even much to look at! I don’t think having a thick head of hair in your case makes any difference to your looks whatsoever! I think you’re just an extremely obsessive Person who believes a thick head of hair makes all the difference and sadly in years to come I believe you’re going to regret these decisions and the march of time is going to have a heavy impact both physically and psychologically on you!!!

My question is, if I add 2.5 mg of oral minoxidil a day and continue on my way with dutasteride and quit oral minoxidil after 2 years, if I continue with dutasteride continuously, will the hair grown by oral minoxidil fall out? Hey Matt, I've been taking 0.5 mg of Dutasteride and 2.5 mg of oral minoxidil for close to a year now along with 2 Folexin supplements daily. I've been able to maintain my hair and see it become denser. However, when I get a buzz cut, I noticed that my hair still appears thin in the crown and the front of my head as oppose to my donor area which is thicker. I'm not sure if I just have fine hair. I also use a Biotin infused Mane N Tail shampoo and conditioner and use a Dr. Pen microneedle. Is there anyway that I can get more density in the crown and the front of my hair? Should I raise my dosage of oral minoxidil to 5 mg instead or take a different supplement? Any advice would be appreciated.

@@Skenderbeg100 You should check first if you don't have any medical problem with gelatin, and if not, then, in my opinion, you can take it twice a day, but at first you should start once, for several months, at least, and see how your body reacts. It is important that you drink more water during the day, in my opinion, there is no connection between the gelatin and what you are already taking, but ask your doctor. If I were you I would up the dosage. Just as you described my forearms my legs have gotten much darker and hairier. My beard can grow a little bit I still can't grow one for the life of me but what does growing grows in a bit thicker and darker. Absolutely no back hair or anything like that do have thick of hair on the chest now basically everything is darker. HAir on the top of the head is much better. I've had the same forearms legs and chest hair no matter the dosage. Doesn't get any worse, but definitely where I don't have any follicles like my back shoulders or anything like that it's not a drop of hair. I would caution people who are very hairy to begin with might want to stay away. If your person who couldn't grow hair for the life of you on your face or chest this definitely will boost it. Works a thousand times better than topical without the hassle. I also take it with a diuretic (water pill). Actually bought a smartwatch to monitor everything but it's been around 2 and 1/2 years now and no problems. I also do believe that oral finasteride takes longer to work then topical but the results are far better.

It’s just some vitamins, and I see they charge over 100 pounds for it 🤦♂️ You could just buy a multivitamin for 10. Vitamins will do absolutely nothing for Male Pattern Baldness. The only medically approved medications that work are Finasteride, Minoxidil and Dutasteride. If all it took was some vitamins to fight MPB then nobody would need to take meds. These companies are just taking advantage of people who are new to understanding of how to tackle MPB and also people who freak out thinking of hairloss meds. BTW, looks like that stuff comes from China, I’d stay well clear of that crap and just buy an ordinary multivitamin from your local health food store or pharmacy, if you want something for overall wellness etc.

@@borrisdillan9783 Finasteride and Minoxidil both cause an initial shed after a few weeks of use, which is completely normal, as the new hairs will be stronger and thicker, it’s just part of the process. You should also see good regrowth after the shedding phase. Hope I’m not sounding like an a-hole but there’s no point letting yourself go permanently bald because you’re afraid of a temporary shedding phase, it’s not like all your hair fall out, just a bit but it’s worth it once you start seeing the results. To answer your second question yes, if you stop either minoxidil or Finasteride for a length of time then the effects will go and you’ll lose slowly your hair gains, both are treatments and not cures. I’m talking a few weeks here, it’s completely fine if you miss a day or two here and there.

If there's certain heart related risks associated with oral minoxidil, why in the world would one ever take it when the topical works SO damn WELL. WITHOUT most of these side effects at recommended doses.
@exactly11762 жыл бұрын
Because topical is annoying to put on your scalp and that is sometimes can irritate your scalp a little bit. Also more people respond better to oral minoxidil than topical minoxidil. That said : I've been on topical minoxidil for 11 years already and I don't ever plan to switch to oral minoxidil. I don't want to take unnecessary risks for my heart to be honest. What I've been doing recently though is adding microneedling once a week at 1mm (don't wanna go for 1.5mm just in case... don't wanna get scaring). I do 1mm once a week with a dermastamp then I wait 24 hours and i use my minoxidil. I use minoxidil once a day otherwise. It made me become a great responder to minoxidil without any side effects I could have gotten on oral minoxidil. So overall, I still think topical minoxidil is the winner even though it's more annoying to use. Edit : you just use topical minoxidil like 1 hour before going to sleep then wash your hair in the morning and you get perfect hair during the day. It's not that complicated. It's kinda like brushing your tooth lol

@letsgethair2 жыл бұрын
Here is the thing. I have been using it for 3+ months. I did the EKG at the end of 3rd month. Everything was fine besides slightly lowered pulse rate. After this test, I stopped for almost 2 weeks and did another EKG to see whether there will be any changes. There were changes that I described in the video. The second test was only done because of my interest.

I wish I could take oral minoxidil I could love the body hair 😂 I don’t have much. But the idea of getting off finasteride or dutasteride oral is my goal. I have a consult with my allergist in 2 months to test is I’m allergic to minoxidil oral. I had rash with topical minoxidil. I will take minoxidil. Matt you are active, and exercise HR can be lower. I agree with your cardiology doctor

great video, though, i have tried oral minoxidil at 2.5 mg for over 7 months , it did thicken my hair a lil bit but nothing drastic, Im responding far better to topical minoxidil and micro-needling.

Body hair growth took 8 months but its starting to really kick in on my face, hands and chest lol. I’m a guy so it doesn’t bother me. Just have to groom more often.

You do not need very much oral minoxidil - 2.5 mg should usually be enough. Slows down hair loss. Over time hair grows faster and stronger. Be careful of edema side-effects.

I wonder if zooming in on 10 seconds of your heart beat is enough to draw any conclusions because if you get an irregular heartbeat it might not happen within those 10 seconds.
@letsgethair2 жыл бұрын
True. But it is not just about irregular heartbeat but also the shape of these waves. Suspicious looking shapes in any of these waves can signal pressure build up in your arteries which is also something to be keeping in check in my opinion.
