Loved this. As someone who has made the effort to hold weekly meetups for my community (rollerblading) and having been on ROLLERBLADE the last two years as a product of that effort I love seeing that Loaded also rewards people who want to build their community. It’s so vital.

Great episode, really enjoyed the history and stories behind the beloved Otang wheels! Is there any particular reason the Morongas got discontinued? They’re great
@LoadedBoards6 ай бұрын
The Morongas were the only wheel in our lineup that used a different urethane. We looked at the numbers and popularity of the Moronga compared to our other wheels and compared it against how much it was costing us to maintain and acquire that particular formula for this one wheel. In the end, it all didn't add up and we had to let the Moronga go. As an added bonus, the Moronga urethane formula needed to be refrigerated, while our main formula Happy Thane, did not.

Did Orangatang make the wheels for the boosted board ? They had holes on the inside of the wheel.
@LoadedBoards10 ай бұрын
We were involved in the first two generations of Boosted Boards. First Generation used the In Heats and they had to drill into each wheel to attach the pulleys. We developed the Kegel with that particular core to help them cut down on assembly time for their boards.
