I have tried this recipe twice and the cake turned out great each time!! Whenever, I am baking I imagine I am in this video and my pace automatically slows down and I feel relaxed. I do less mistakes this way. Thank you!! 😘😘😘😘

I enjoyed this video so much not only because of the delicious recipe (I will certainly make it), but because there was no background music, which sometimes are so loud that if I lower the volume I can't hear the person speaking. I just made it today. Reduced the sugar to 130g added some almond nibs it turned out good. Just the samolina crunch is still there. Might need to add more orange juice to soak it i suppose. Overall its moist and tasty samolina cake with the orange is amazing. 😋.

i tried this cake.. it was absolutely incredibly.. i used flaxmeal as an egg replacement and it came out so well... that's one way to make it eggless...i also added 2 tablespoons of marmalade to give it a stronge orange flavor.. was brilliant.. Thank you for this recipe.. this one is a keeper...

Hi Patricia, it is great hearing from you. If you find it heavy, perhaps, soak the semolina slightly longer like 15 more minutes or so due to different manufacturing process. When it is well soaked, it will give you a lighter texture overall. Hope this helps ☺️

Hi sorry for the late reply. I didn't get any notification for your message. Just go to my eggless version, a video posted right after this one. Simply change the amount of milk with fresh orange juice. And top the cake with the almond flakes That's it, I hope this will help you.

@@vanithar1956 Hi. If you want a good orange flavor, I would advise you to replace the milk 100% wherever the recipe is calling. So simple use the eggless recipe and replace the milk with orange juice and just add a tablespoon of orange zest if you desire. If the milk is used to soak the semolina flour, you'll use orange juice to soak it. That's it. You can also have 1:1 ratio of milk and orange juice, or whatever ratio you desire, as long as thre total amount of both is equal to the amount of liquid the recipe is calling. Hope this is helpful

Tried it out today and totally loved the cake. I used the semolina i had at home which was rather coarse, next time i will use the finer version. The cake was beautiful, smell was amazing and texture was really good. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!

ANNA VENKI apparently it’s better with the coarse semolina, it gives more texture ...that’s what I’ve done for my second version (140g sugar is far sweet enough), even added an extra 30 g of crushed almond but still doesn’t give me the grainy texture I am after. But I agree, it is an amazing cake👌
