I own the 50w mkIII: It's hard to do metal if you need to play fast because the amp is loose so that you feel you cannot play holy wars for example... I need to put some pedals in it and the quality fall down (more noise, squeaking bottom strings, harsh mids). For reamping, it's perfect because you don't have the feeling problem by the way. the cr120 head has a great clean channel, but the dirty channel is absolute trash. It is so hollow and fake sounding. I have one and a dark terror as well and there is absolutely no comparing the two. Dark terror blows the cr120 out of the water completely, especially for only like $200 more.
