(Orange Cat 🐈) Block 57 Toa Payoh Residential HDB - Otis and Fujitec traction elevators

11 March 2018 | Filmed with a cat accompanying me to take the elevators.
Originally built in 1972, this flat only had originally 1 elevator situated at the central staircase of this block. I believe that in the early/mid-1980s, a Fujitec was installed opposite the original lift. In the late-1980s, Fujitec refurbished the original lift in this block. In the late-1990s when Main Upgrading Programme took place, Fujitec refurbished Lift A again, then Otis replaced the additional Fujitec to serve all floors.
Apologies if some parts of the video was very dark when riding Lift A, as the cat was not happy or probably afraid when I accidentally pointed the flashlight at it.

Doubt that the otis was installled under MUP. Likely to have been original during the 80s when all blocks with only one lift were upgraded with additional lifts

You might be right though... The Otis has lots of metal thingy around its doors and the shaft looks 1980s so it probably replaced a Fujitec.

Did you go to Block 27 Before and maybe you saw one or two-Door Old Fujitec Lift, were there one door Old Refurbished Fujitec Lift over there or two door old refurbished Fujitec Lift

At first it might sound like a cat, as my microphone does not record things clearly sometimes (even though it is louder and better than my old phone), but after a while i actually noticed it was a kid that was crying in one of the housing units on the first floor, NOT a cat.
