I went to Guitar Center and tried this side by side with boss katana 50, Blackstar ID Core 20 and the Orange RT 20… is have a Monoprice 15w tube and a Fender champion 40 and I honestly like the mustang way better. It sounds so good in person and there all the different effects are actually usable and not just shitty adding like a lot of other amps. It’s seriously the most fun and versatile solid state I’ve ever played and there is no way you won’t find a usable tone. Great video btw man! New sub here

Appreciate the content! I've dabbled in self teaching all sorts of instruments over the years. Had an acoustic for ages but only recently did I pick up a no-name electric, and the amp I chose for my first (and probably only) was the Mustang LT25. Everything I could have asked for... I feel like I'm just a $50 looper pedal away from having a setup that I will happily mess around with for years to come. I'd say if you're serious about playing, it might not be much more than a practice amp or a stepping stone...but if you just want to jam out and have a good time in your own home, the LT25 really works. Designing and saving my own presets with a ridiculous amount of modding capability has been fun and rewarding.
@RockHardRiffs2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind comment 4th....you may find an issue with a looper. Know that everything going thru the amp will sound exactly the same....loop and all. So if you want to different sounding guitars, it ain't gonna happen. That's one advantage of the Orange amp while using effects pedals. Thanks for watching!

Great video,thanks. The thing that hurts these amps is the small speaker. It’s only capable of so much bass, but that is the trade off for small, affordable, lightweight, and the ability to play at a low level. These amps offer those things very well.

Yes...lots and lots of presets...as mentioned in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYfVdIpveJ2drsU I say that we'll be here all day if we were to check out all the presets. What I'm assuming at this point in this video in someone's research, is they most likely already know this. What I'm comparing are the base sounds of both amps. Some may prefer the basic tone of the Orange, others the Fender. Unlike some KZbin channels, I don't tell the viewer they 'must have' this or that. I let you make up your own mind...with the information you have gained in your own research. This is only one part of it. Thanks for watching!

so...... i have that fender (even after knowing i don't prefer fender after listening to youtube comparisons)... but it was mostly because all GC had at affordable rates was the fenders. for a practice amp, the tiny orange sounded shit. went with blackstar, best sound. but for THESE??? that orange sounds really nice on the ears. fender sounds ok if you don't listen back to back but the orange was more compelling. just... idk, more FEEL to it. nicer harmonics.

Any presets on Orange 20RT? Can I connect the 20RT to the computer and download presets? Sorry for the many questions.

Hey there Angel...it has been a while. Good to see you. Both the LT25 and LT50 have 30 presets and have room for some of your own. The Orange amps are not modelers, thus have no presets. Just a 'straight' amp. No downloads. Rock on my friend. I hope you have a great holiday season!

@@RockHardRiffs Hey, thank you for the kind words, and for enlightening me further regarding the amps. Since we've spoken, this is what I got, a Boss Katana 100 MKI, this thing is a beast! A Yamaha THR30II, a Headrush MX5, A BOSS GT-1 (really cool effects board relatively "cheap"), and NUX MG 30 and a Spark AMP. Whew, that's a lot I know. I had a Line 6 Helix but I sold it, didn't really have the sounds I was looking for. But the Headrush is really, I don't know if you've one, but it's great!. Using the touch screen it wonderful to use. I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio, an SG'61 Reissue, an SG Special, a Player series Telecaster, and I got a Hamer AT 90 with P90 pickups. How do you like those P90s on your Epiphone?

I'm not an expert or even a novice but I have ears and I've only owned one fender amp and it turned me off so much I've never considered another fender amp. Now granted it was a terrible not even realistic amp to judge the brand by I know , it was a small fender basic 15w? amp slightly used 35 years ago and the driver sounded like a coffee can, no highs no lows just nasty dull mids but at the same time I borrowed a small same size cheap ass gorilla amp and it sounded sick as hell, it had highs smooth mids and rich lows and push the "overdrive" button and it had a super fuzzy 80s metal distortion, the fender you overdrive it and it had the typical old school classic mild distortion but didn't sound good at all and the gorilla had more of an effects pedal sound vs analog overdriving. I did get my grandfather's Peavy kb100 he had for his martin d28 that was 100w and had a 15" driver and you use a distortion peddle (it was clean only no overdriving it) and that thing was loud it really belted out the sound and played deep. Oh yeah the shit sound from that fender wasn't the guitar the guitar I had back then on was a all black factory custom made in japan squire super strat with dual humbuckers, the family friend who sold it to my parents said it was a custom order and was like $500 new and I was like 14-15 so that was 1987 and it was used so i dont know what year it was made early to mid 80s... It's in my basement still in pieces I lent it to my cousin and he trashed it chipped it up all over trashed the frets and halfass hardwired the patch cord in, it left in a nice black fur lined fender hard case and came back in a $20 gig bag! it was like new when he took it. It was a sweet guitar.... Maybe would have had some collector interest with a little bit of value if he hadn't touched it. No good deed goes unpunished, I have a sweet Korean bc rich warlock pro X now and it's light years better so whatever que sera sera.
