This one of the best reviews on the the tube of this little marvel of an amp. I had the original micro crush which was good but this blows it away, The amount of tones you can get is unreal and allot of this is to do with the fact that the controls are really sensitive. Each slight turn makes a big difference as I'm sure you discovered Dave. I read somewhere that its sound is modeled on the dark terror. Great video.

Actually they launched the Mini Crush Dark (yepp, same little guy in black color) which is the one that sounds like the Micro Dark Terror!

Michael Espinosa well when you use the integrated speaker it sucks ass but attach it to a proper cab and it rocks

I LOVE my MINI-I drove my 2x12 Engl cabinet and it Sounds Thunderous.I also played in the bathroom while on the throne-I played in my microwave.I played off someone's head,I played it everywhere.I honestly can sat that the tone isn't just good-It is really Orange Amp-very creamy & you could do a small Arena with Mini going thru a 4x12.Orange Fuckin Rules & so do 9volts!

Sounds good. Unlike alot of other smaller amps, it doesn't have a separate overdrive channel, instead it has a single channel with what seems to be soft clipping, which better emulates how a valve amp works anyways.

You play and sound great! Thinking of buying one of these, and I have a nice little 8" Randall speaker cabinet, and no heads to hook it to. I'm an old guitar hack that likes to play bluesy stuff.

I use a tube screamer and a Vox Wah Wah on mine and it's great.

I have one and it’s great, but I’m curious about hooking it up to a speaker. Which cab would you recommend for it? Hooked up to a cab, could the sound quality be compared to say the Crush 12 or 20 version?

Is the dark the 2018 model or the original one. And what's the difference between the dark and the normal ones. I'm new to orange, after all these years of playing I thought it's time to give these things a go seen as I need a portable one

Hey! Thanks for your comment! The Orange Crush Mini is great for anyone who is new to electric guitar or just wants a good sounding amp they can take on their travels! I haven't played anything as good as this for the price as of yet. And yes, you can connect to an external speaker cabinet which will open up the sound dramatically!

That's not a line out, that's a speaker out. You connect it to cabinet, not a combo amp's input.

I know they're totally different but what would you recommend, this or the Boss Katana Mini?

I have both and in all honesty I play the Orange more than the Katana, Orange gear has such a distinctive warm sound and In many respects I think the Orange solid state amps have a great tube tone. The Katana is great also and has the advantage of a built in delay and 3 band EQ but for me the Orange wins due to it tone and the fact you can plug it into a bigger cab. I play blues/rock and does this Kind of thing really well. If you can try them both and see what you love the most, what I think is great many will disagree with and there is probably a hit squad out on me already for stating I prefer the Orange to the Katana lol.

I think i’m gonna trade in a 30watt marshall amp towards this amp. I think its a good idea cuz sound and portability.
