Thanks. The speaker out needs a guitar cab on the end of it as it's got power running out of it, so that went to a 1x12 Orange cab. For the headphone out section I went out of the headphone out via a stereo to dual mono cable and into 2 inputs on my interface 👍

Just a heads up to anyone who wants to purchase this. I have the prior model and I’m sure it’s not different on the 2018 since the speaker size is no different. The tone sounds fantastic when you have it facing your head or one specific ear. However that makes it incredibly limited because if you play with a mp3 or midi it most likely will not be in line with the directions of your speakers and so it can sound hazy like in clip 5. I’m not sure how to explain the sound difference in words other than that the tone drops away when your standing outside of a direct line from the speaker. For anyone who has recorded before just think of a mic being placed outside of the speaker area. I wouldn’t say it sounds like it has a blanket on it but it becomes more fat. Which sounds cool for recording if you take both the microphone tone if both up close and further away like a room mic set up. It’s cool that he played paranoid because to me this amp has a very similar tone. It can be made fuzzy and it has a great tone for that song!

Soundwise I'd say the Vox will sound fuller due to the much bigger speaker. The Orange is more useful for the portableness of it 👍

The Vox is $109, while the Orange is $75. I love that the orange has an extension speaker jack. I have a nice 8 ohm Randall 8" speaker cabinet that should go good with this amp. I also have a 12" Fender cab,but, alas, it's 4 ohms, and wouldn't be safe to hook to his amp.

Depends what you want. The Orange has an external cab out. If you have an external cab the Orange will sound miles better. Blackstar is probably more versatile as it has the delay and ISF EQ control if you are just using the internal speaker 👍

Depends on the sound you want. The Orange has that classic orange distortion that nothing else emulates, however it can get a bit tinny as you push the volume hard. The Nux is great when you pair your phone with it. The Blackstar is good as well. It doesn’t really have a distinctive sound like the Orange but does sound a lot bigger than it’s size 👍

Orange amps love V30 cabs. The sound is even better than a Crush 12 or 20 when plugged into a great external speaker, probably similar quality with a cheaper cab 👍
