I love the review but I'm just marveling at the change in audio and video quality that you've got after all these years. Like the camera is picking up the vibrations of the strings incredibly.

More KZbin money means I can buy better equipment to make better videos and hopefully get more KZbin money to do it all again. I still have lots to improve on, but I'm glad you see it getting better.

The way I see it, the Rocker 15 is the Tiny Terror II. While the TT did what it did incredibly well, it was kind of limited. People wanted an effects loop, and two channels, and orange has also been trying hard with the "headroom to bedroom" thing that I really like. So this amp is a TT with those features - clean channel to match the dirty, an effects loop for those that like to run a lot of sugary sweet amp gain with delay and chorus, and the ability to push the output stage at low listening volume. For those who were disappointed the TT got discontinued, its daughter's pretty damn good too.

This is just a fucking great video, Colin. I'm stunned by its professional quality, the multi-instrumental playing is great, it's fun to watch and last but not least the amp sounds really cool, the gain range seems just ideal IMO and it's very flexible, too. Finally the big brands started to make multi-purpose amps for everyday use.

Probably not worth it. I tried that too, but couldn't find a latching switch for less than six bucks, times two that's obv twelve, which is about the price for the cheapest switch you can get at thomann. I bought this amp because I wanted an Orange amp with an all valve power structure. I got it used on reverb and it's great. Takes pedals really well. Regarding the footswitch, the schematic for the FS1 is dead simple and you can literally make it in an hour. I did because the external preamp distortion I have (fender MTG Tube) is not as good for my sound as the actual second channel. I love this amp

Nice Collin! I would keep it too! It does have a great rock tone, so nothing too aggressive. I'm always perplexed when someone who plays heavier types of metal look for something outside the usual suspects. Orange is a nice alternative to a Marshall or a Vox and I mainly see it for bands that are outside of heavy metal. I play psychobilly as the hardest type of music and I have three types of amp: a Yamaha twin style jazz amp, a Vox VT 30, and a Ibanez TSA5TVR Tube Screamer amp. They are all great and none of them would satisfy a metal head but all would sound good with psychobilly. Sometimes using the limits of your gear to refocus your sound can be a blessing in disguise. And again I would keep the Orange amp too.😎

Also Guitar Maëstro, there's this cool effect, no idea what it's called but I've seen it on a few music videos. The one I can remember is Beyond Creations "Omnipresent Perception". It captures the string vibrations and exaggerates them, maybe it's not an effect but it's cool either way. Maybe you'd want to check it out. Great videos as always, when I'm able to donate, I will!
@aspiceronni44626 жыл бұрын
It must feel amazing to play that V. The cam is picking up the way the strings vibrate at their respective frequencies. I watched it twice because like said it must feel amazing. Sweet sweet amp brother. For years I've done a Mel Gibson-William Wallace but it just sounds so much damn better from a true Scottsman. From now on I'm going to do a Colin. Cheers from Wisconsin!!!

Perhaps this is a previously asked question but... I’m about to pull the trigger on one of this Orange Rocker 15 heads, but I’m not sure if its power would be enough to practice unmiked with a full band (hardcore punk, with a heavy beating drummer). I do not care about gigging because we rarely gig with our own gear. This and a 4x12 would be loud enough to be heard with the drummer and another guitar amp (Blackstar 200w at half power).
@SleepingLionsProductions2 жыл бұрын

You have a great folk rock vibe with the flute and guitar, it sounds awesome!!! May i ask what speakers are in the cab please?? I have a 4x12 marshall and a 60watt jcm2000 and its too loud for late night practicing what low wattage tube amp would you recommend to accommodate all genres?? Thank you
@ScienceofLoud6 жыл бұрын
The speakers are Celestion Vintage 30 and Creamback. You can find out more about the cabinet in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5vdaH1sqM6Xqbs As for amps, this Orange Rocker 15 Terror is pretty flexible, especially with how well it takes pedals. Another good option would be the Egnater Tweaker. It's got endless tonal options covering the majority of common amp styles, and it's not hugely expensive. I've been meaning to grab one for myself for a long while.
