Cocoa Village is a bike ride away from my house. We ride there and have drinks. It's really a place to visit when there's events. I love living here

I have a timeshare on Cocoa Beach since 1995 and live in CA. The best thing about Cocoa actually is the fact there is not a large amount of things to do. However, that means it is never crowded. There are multiple great restaurants and especially sea food. The beach is fantastic with warm water you can stay in as long as you want. Just enough shopping to satisfy. It makes you slow down and enjoy your wife or companion. I go every July for 1-2 weeks.

Thanks,@@ChadGallivanter ! Any bar and grills you recommend within walking distance from Beachside Hotel & Suites?
@ChadGallivanter10 ай бұрын
@lauriegrube007 Probably the closest to you is the Sandbar Sports Grill which I think is open til 11 or 11:30. But if you have the time and transportation, I would recommend Salty Sisters Bar and Grill a few miles south at 24 N Brevard Ave in Cocoa Beach. Good food and atmosphere.

Cocoa beach is a cold water one with big waves all year. If you want to surf, this can be your choice. If you want to swim and enjoy the water.......is not good.

Just to the west, we have not one but three major rivers: Indian, Banana and St. Johns. Plenty to do on the water.

@@roadrunner6103 I live on a lake 3 miles to the west of CB and see a gator in it about one day every couple months. One time on a golf course where I had to divert my path. Never seen a gator on the beach. I see a snake scurry off and pretty well in front of me about twice a year.

Um, doesn't seem like there's much to do besides the beach.

I live here, and that's a perfect explanation. Its a place to go to the beach, relax, eat some food, see some sights, take in the wildlife, and clean up your mess. Dont make sandcastles or dig holes because it's not good for the sea turtles. We also have rocket launches almost weekly because of the space industry. It's a sleepy military beach town, everything closes at 9, so we have limited light pollution. Sundays and generally Mondays things are closed as well.
@KevinNordstrom Жыл бұрын
and that's a bad thing? its nice to see some communities that aren't total commercialized Miami or Tampa clearwater, etc. Let these sleepy beach towns be just that.

The beach just to the north of CB, Playalinda, is the best in Florida as it has no hotels or businesses and is pristine because it is part of the Canaveral National Seashore. The one to the south, Melbourne/Satellite Beach, has all the larger city stuff.
