Stop using palm oil containing products. Do your diligence and check that it isn't used in any of the products you buy. There are plenty of soaps, shampoos etc that don't use palm oil. And I haven't been able to find any biscuits/cookies that don't contain it, so I make my own. But I would still urge you to research companies (as I have) to check their credentials. And if you're still not sure then make your own - knowledge is power. There is no better way to cut off a supply than to stop using anything that contains those particular ingredients. And if we no longer use products that contain palm oil etc, then it will no longer be a profitable commodity to those governments who would exploit the planet for the profits they bring. But it has to be a COLLECTIVE effort - meaning enough people discontinuing the use of products that damage the planet to have a profound and lasting effect, otherwise it won't work.

Although, with some things, it is ultimately OUR choice to use them or not. Polute or not. I won't contribute to the downfall of another fellow species just because I want to wear make-up and eat a biscuit. It's not scary or hard to change ones ways, on the contrary there's no other feeling like it to know that you're helping your home instead of killing it, and basically giving the worlds overlords the middle finger whilst living a clean life😊

I'm very sure it's happened in the wild...Gorilla dads ate known to be very attentive too. This Daddy is my Hero...and his daughter is the luckiest,most precious little girl.❤
@elisemiller133 жыл бұрын
@Trace Smith, I agree with what you're saying about human's viewpoint toward animals. In this case, I don't think that's what's going on. Yes, Silverback Gorillas are known to be very attentive to their young.Gorillas live in large groups, with one dad in the wild. Orangutans on the other hand, yes, also very intelligent. In the wild they grow up male and female both, living individually. Coming together to mate and the male leaving the raising of baby orangutan to the mother. Because they live in the trees and spread out so they have enough food for each in the canopy. With all respect to you and the Orangutans, it is very unusual for the male to be taking care of his baby, even moreso, with one not his own.

The baby boy named Rox was found in bad shape two badly broken legs one had to be amputated and his real mom had died all of the surrogate moms in troop he got along with but the male Jethro it was different and the monkeys choose who they bond with but it was amazing to see this male carrying around his new son in his belly all proud like all the other moms with their new orphans it was sweet. Primates and well animals in general amaze me, I don’t understand how some people can just abuse them or blindly kill them for sport without seeing them for who they are, it’s maddening. So the keepers would feed the baby through a fence and then she could return immediately to her daddy. It worked out perfectly, given the circumstances.
