Beyond definitions, this is truly otherworldly and magnificent! They have outdone themselves, in the future this will be remembered as a milestone of avant-garde metal.

Just a reminder, that two decades ago Emperor, Mayhem, and Satyricon were all pushing the envelope of what is Black metal, while bands like Ulver and Manes just did there own thing. If you think most Black metal sounds the same, your tastes suck and you're boring.

Stop making generalizations about a subject you clearly know little about. Every genre has artists that are mostly similar, but few genres outside of Black metal have such a long and rich history of being avantgarde and doing weird shit. Sorry man not trying to call you a poser but you are talking like you know more than the average joe. Fuck dude even Emperor, Mayhem, and Satyricon all were forward thinking and has experimental eras. Emperor vs Thorns is a brilliant weird dark album that came out forever ago. Grand Declaration of War was as much Neo-folk and Industrial as it was Black metal.

Mestarin Kynsi feels like an album written by the universe; this new album is the mighty voice of the machine. From the grace of cosmic riffs and passages that explore the depths of all there is to glitchy cybersequences that invite you to dream of a new order. "Zoom in, traveller, as you now know the truth of the expansive reality that holds you. Project yourself and become a needle; search within yourself and see. Blinding days and pitch-black nights, a future devoid of colour. Destined to sail across The All to meet The It." - something I wrote while listening. I love this band.
