I ve known this music for like 20 years. Still love it and come back here to listen. Amazing hypnotizing electro!

it is fascinating to look back on your own musical evolution and be able to pinpoint the track, the occasion, the moment you were converted.

It is I saw the video on MTV's Chill Out Zone, bought In-Sides, then the green album and then Snivilization which was quite the shock for me then :)

This was the song late in the early hours after Midnight on MTV in the 1990’s that made me fall in love with what would later be called Trance. ❤

For me it was the movie Hackers, and specifically Halcyon. Bought the album and this track was so eye opening. It completely changed what I thought I loved of music. Previously I had always focused on lyrics and the emotion I got from them. The music behind that just enhanced those lyrics. Once this rips into part 2... just amazing.

Much appreciation for actually splicing these two tracks together seamlessly! Most versions of these tracks on YT leave a nasty gap that kills the immersion.
@truefunksoul86382 жыл бұрын
Splicing tracks together? This is how it is on the CD if you just press play, the uploader didn't mix anything; the other upload with the most views has a gap which is caused by playing files through VLC when it should be seamless. So basically they fucked it up, this guy didn't have to fix it.
@HashMagician2 жыл бұрын
@@truefunksoul8638 I actually did splice the tracks on Ableton (and messed it up btw, lol) If you play the cd in a cd player, there's no gap or click whatsoever

The first time I heard this tune and had it on repeat (part 1), me and my friends randomly discovered a headstone in some woods. So we’ll always associate it to that moment.

This song is just excellently composed. Part I and II stand alone well, but put together like this - thank you for that consideration, @HashMagician - it builds inexorably to its conclusion.

I’ve loved this tune forever, but one more epiphany has been visited upon me. Rush could’ve played this live and nailed it. Unrequited, no drummer, no dice. Maybe you could ask the relevant parties for me, if you think that this would be as miraculous as I know it would. Please
