This past weekend I had the amazing opportunity to meet up with some of my friends and take a test drive of the new camera rig they've invented. The rig is called the OrcaVue, and it is a 360 degree orbiting camera platform that lends itself perfectly to slow motion.
The rig itself is portable and battery powered, meaning the possibilities for subjects and locations is only limited by your imagination. We did some basic tests with some of the most commonly available cameras that are recommended for this rig.
The OrcaVue guys are always looking to test the newest high speed cameras on their platform, and we had the opportunity to test the new Sony RX100 Mark IV. The RX100 offers 240, 480, and 960 fps bursts in a small point-and-shoot body.
