Cut it down to the base if its done flowering so it can focus more energy on producing foliage or roots

i always cut right down I don't like the secondary spikes with a flower or two.Some people dont cut anything and the orchid looks a mess imo

I cut below the lowest flower node because flower stems don’t regrow in the same spot as before. If you cut it completely it will be gone forever.
