I just got my first orchids - 2 cattleyas (an unregistered one- Rlc. Patchara fancy, and Rlc. Mayor Yamasaki) this month. Thanks for your nugget about reduced light exposure requirement. I would not have known.

I have a walkeriana semi-alba 'Kenny' from you and I believe it is starting the spike phase -- I wasn't sure how this would bloom, because I didn't see any sheaths, etc. Either way something is growing and the plant is doing good indoors. I also have quite a few other plants from you and have been to your facility several times.

Happy new year! Can you do an episode on Lycaste macrobulbon in the future? I think it is a very nice and showy species but (sadly) frequntly overlooked and in the shadow of the famous small-flowered yellow species like aromatica and cruenta.

It looks like Jerry doesn’t answer videos. Is that true? I was going to ask him how the devil does he get such roots - what tips or secrets can or will he offer. I’ve been growing since the 70s but have come and gone and was away for a while - how the world has changed since late 60s and 70s. . Been back for about 5-6 years but have never seen roots like that hanging down on a catt. How long since potted?
