I really like the relaxed atmosphere you have in these films. It's also really nice watching your technique.

That looks great. You give nice and clear instructions as well. I might have to give this a go.

I must have said it incorrect in the video. You need an enamel based wash with white spirit. an acrylic wash can't really be used as a filter as when you thin acrylic that much it stains and leaves water marks :)

yes. I have never heard that nor seen. Where can I buy this and what is it good for ?
@Lemmiwinks611 жыл бұрын
hey there, you said that I can create a filter myself, using an acrylic wash and white spirit. But this doesn t fit together. Since acrylics are thinned with water, not mineral spirits. Or am I wrong ? Cheers

Hey OPN have you ever used vallejo crackle medium? If so what recommendaction do you have with its application. Is it just the same process ad AK heavy chip?

Best tutorials I've seen yet! Ordered my supplies and can't wait to get started. What music is that in the background ?, really sets a nice atmosphere...
@OrcPainterNerd11 жыл бұрын
No need to thin it down it goes through just fine undiluted. Just make sure you apply a very generous layer for the effect to work :)

nice work man! my only question thus far is have you tried the hairspray method also, and how does AK compare to this method? Seems you are an AK fan considering you're even sporting the white spirits from them...

you can also add lifecolor and the new badger minitaire paint range to that list also sorry for the delay in response:)

Hey dude, love the vids. A quick question. When using the chipping fluid, varnish etc, did you have to thin it down for the airbrush or was it thin enough to use straight out the bottle. If they were thinned, what did you thin them with? Cheers!

love how he says to be careful and not overdo it on a model where you barely see anything left from his white colour coat :-) but the technic really looks doable, even for beginners and the result realy looks good.

It is the same method, but I will not risk messing up an expensive model and having to strip it if the hair spray dose not work as well as i hope :)

Crackle medium creates a different effect. That will give you a more cracked ceramic looking finish or the look of dried cracked gloss paint on wood.

It is a very different type of solution they do not work the same. I remember about a year ago watching a fantastic youtuber called Judge gudge use crackle medium to great effect.
