Thank you for sharing this and your experience. It convinced me to finally get prescription frames. Only thing I did separately was to purchase them via HonsVR which was $50 shipped (weak prescription lol). Took about 1.5 weeks from order and they included tools/extra to install.

I ordered mine from HonsVR as well. They shipped FedEx next day and I had them three days from when I ordered them. I also got a pair for my Quest 3. Couldn’t believe how quickly they produced and shipped them. I would absolutely buy from them again. Quality is excellent and for me, made all the difference in the quality of the picture.

Thanks for the walkthrough. I was like: "How on earth do these go together?" After fast forwarding to the 4:40 part, it made me feel a bit special. Thanks again. I chose VR-Optician in Germany. It took a few weeks but the quality of lens is pretty good.

I appreciate your demonstration of the lenses going in but I really wanted to hear what you experienced once you used the XREAL with your prescription lenses. That is the MOST important thing.

I really like the general concept of the Nreal Air glasses, but the fact they can't even be bothered to manufacture larger frames is a real turn-off. One of the things I love most about the PS VR Headset is how comfortably it fits around my glasses with progressive lenses right out of the box.

A very helpful video thank you as I was trying to stack the less adapter on top of the nose piece not realising the 2 frames nest into one another, with regards opticians I went with HosVr as I had already had lens done for a Quest HmD, absolutely excellent service, at $49 plus expedited shipping charge to Ireland I still managed to save $40 compared to a competitor called Lensology.

Appreciate this video. I was confused because the template of the glasses has a line but the prescription doesnt

the plastic to pull out the nose piece is where the charger is located, under the glasses bag inside . You can barely see it cause its sooooo dark.

@@paulgallant8115 no problem. when i saw your video i had to run and look for mine, i was like whew !!!! i found it hahaha. I sent my prescription lens to eyelab, they are working on it. I had to explain what it was and took the glasses there hands on . I dont use nebula btw i prefer DEX which is a default on the phone . Becuase whereever i walk, the screen walks with me, with nebula the screen is only visible if you stare at it like a virtual boy from nintendo lol

I have many glasses and I'm thinking of drilling multiple holes onto my old prescription glasses and attach them to sampling frame 😅 that how cheap I am.

I'm going through a website called fuselenses that will do my prescription lens for $57 shipped. They send me a prepaid box, I put the lens in, they make it and send it back within 2-4 weeks. Takes longer but much cheaper than optometrist charging me $200+.

I just checked their website and it says they don't do lenses for rimless/drilled frames.

Do you wear bifocals or progressive lenses? If so did you ask your optometrist clinic to make it bifocals or progressive?

Thank you very much. it seems to be quite easy to put the prescription lenses into Nreal Air. But I guess when you put that lens, nobody else can use it.

Makes it hard to resell unless they can sell you another template piece for cheap. Then you would be stuck with a fancy small pair lenses not useful for much.

@paulgallant8115
@paulgallant8115 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, perfectly clear now. Was so blurry before. I also forgot to mention that if you have a strong prescription that would call for thicker lenses, the Optometrist may not be able to drill the holes.
@TemplarX2
@TemplarX2 Жыл бұрын
@@paulgallant8115 It's just a hole. They ripped you off by charging you $40. The reason they said that is to make it sounds like a difficult process. It probably took then 1 min to drill the holes.

so it looks like i can use any kind of glasses, it doesn't need to be exactly shaped like the template right? I have old pair of glasses that i dont use anymore so i can just drill holes to fit these glass in? I dont want to make new lens, it cost me $400 😑
@paulgallant8115
@paulgallant8115 Жыл бұрын
You would just have to drill the holes in a spot where the lenses would not interfere with the nose piece.
@TRX25EX

I hate the included lenses solution so much, first it's reflective despite I made it anti reflective lenses, your eyes need be further out so it doesn't touch lenses, the top part of the screen can be annoying if lenses doesn't cover it..... Overall expected better solution tbh

Exactly how I feel about it. For how much the glasses cost, they should offer a few different options on the frame size. What are you supposed to do a year later when you get a new prescription?
