I want to suggest something I call "The Infinity Sausage." Make a massive normal sausage with pork and spices. Nothing fancy. Taste test the end of it as a baseline. Then regrind the whole thing. Stuff it again, sear it again, taste it again. Repeat this process until the sausage is a 0/5 due to being like 40% casing. The question isn't how good it is; the question is how many layers does it take to become inedible.

You know, maybe the air in between the bits makes the sausage burst. Maybe the holes being poked aren't enough or the needles aren't reaching all the air pockets, or maybe the filling is too aerated, because there have been a lot of *let's say* unexpected bursts happen even after poking.
