This is the best episode in a while. It highlights everything we love about Monsior Sauseege: 1. His lack of preparation. 2. A nearly complete ineptitude with kitchen utensils, appliances, and concepts. 3. The courage and willingness to cram literally ANYTHING into his mouth for views. 4. An M. Night Shabamalam-like twist where it turns out to be a decent sausage. He is a true 21st Century American Hero. I salute him, and send my deepest sympathies to his family who has to walk around in all kinds of smells.

Fun fact: snails have been raised and eaten as far back as Ancient Greece/Rome. Larger than average selectively bred snail shells have been found in caves where the species otherwise shouldn't be present; there's no variety of snails or other remains there so it can be reasonably surmised that was where they were raised (food remains from locations like pompeii show snails were on the menu as well).

French guy here. So, to anyone disguted by this, we don't eat snails out of a metal box. They don't come (that I know of at least) in metal boxes in France. They are either bought frozen or ready to cook and put into the oven. They usually come with a tasty sauce made with (among other things) tarragon which dilutes every "snail" tastes. You taste more the sauce than the actual snail, which has the consistency of seafood. You should really try it, but the "french way". Not the "sausage way". I appreciate Mr. Sausage for his french words though, music to my ears.
