Hi there! Thanks for making this video - as you say, there isn’t much information online with regards to hiker-biker campsites, and the info you provided is very useful. I’m planning to ride the Trans America Trail this summer, and I’m starting in Portland and cycling around the coast to Florence before heading east, so I’ll be using some of the campsite that you mention. I have one question - I’ve been planning my route and looking online at campsites along the TaT, and it seems that privately run campsites charge around $60 per night, whereas the campsites on State Parks charge around $30 - does that sound about right? I’m in the UK, and campsites here charge around the equivalent of $15 to $20, so I’m trying to work out how much I need to budget for during my trip. Thanks in advance! Robert (London, UK)

Hi Robert! Thanks for watching! Yes, private campgrounds in the USA get progressively more expensive as you head East (in my experience). And that sounds about right for state parks as well. Enjoy the TaT!!! :)

Info is outdated, Millcreek is NOT steep, this is one of my fav campgrounds!

It is excellent that it is made aware to others that there are these hiker-biker camps along the Pacific coast bicycle route. I did the full length of the Pacific coast route. I think I used state parks only three times. That was because whenever I came to them it was too early in the day to stop. By the time I got my daily mileage achieved, I was not anywhere near a state park or a Hiker Biker site.
