Great video buddy! May I ask, what tide should I fish?
@righteousriverfishinginoregon7
@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 7 ай бұрын
Good question. I normally try to time it so I fish incoming tide. When the water is deeper I snag less and catch bigger fish. However, on the day of this video the tide was dropping and I fished low tide and caught my first limit. Moral of the story is that fish are always there, you just need to find them. Fish and move, be methodical, if your not catching change your bait and move again. That's what works for me. Good luck. Fish on!

Man no way. I just tried exactly what you did. I tried it on a high tide and on a slack tide. Multiple baits moved around multiple times and I never had a single bite. Close to about 12 hours of trying. Your anointed.

That sounds like a tough day. I have had days where the bite is slow, but I always catch fish. Are you letting your jigs hit bottom before jigging them back in? I cast out as far as I can, let them tap the bottom, and then jig them in tapping the bottom all the way in.

Great news! It's a real bummer when you lose them at the rocks. Often times the braid can sheer off, or sometimes they get into a difficult place to land. Best thing you can do is to have a long gaff so you can hook them when you get them close. Keep at it and you will get some nice fish.

Nice haul bro. But isn’t that 50# braid strong enough to lift those sea bass up with out a gaff? Or were you just playing safe?
@righteousriverfishinginoregon7
@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 9 ай бұрын
Yes, definitely, the 50lb braid is strong enough for the bass. I was careful for two reasons: sometimes the line gets nicked on the rocks during the fight and causes weak spots (like one bass that broke the line after I caught it) so I try to be careful. Second reason is to protect the rod. That rod is rated Medium and was expensive, so I normally am careful as I lift them up. As you can see, those bass were larger than normal which was awesome. Good observation!
