Old timers used to pull hundreds of lbs /day out of this location. Crazy cool material back then, but those days are long gone and this is what we are left with. Still pretty cool though ^^

Morels season is running very late in oregon... still none in northern Oregon, usually they would be fruiting by April 15th on an average year. The soil temperature needs to be consistently over 60° Fahrenheit for a few days at least for them to come up.

@The Rogue Rockhound and Prospector yeah southern Oregon is Morel country for sure. You ever find burn morels? They fruit heavily the first year after a fire. I found about 800 morels in 2021 it was epic after those big fires!

I have now added a seam agate with fortification to my "must have rock find" list. Just the little lines peeking through on that giant one at the end got my interest. I'm going to set my bar high and hope to find a waterline fortified agate, which I discovered existed after watching this video and looking up the terms. Thank you for always educating along with entertaining. I very much appreciate your shares every time!

Awesome waking up seeing there's a new Rogue Rockhound & Prospector video 😁 Just another day at the office looking for agates and other goodies, lol. Cool that you guys found a new creek and new rockhounding spot 👍Too bad, no morrels. Hope you found some amethyst amongst your finds. Either way, it looks like you found some great stuff and had a great time. I polished a couple more treasures you've shared with me, and I will have a video to upload soon. They turned out great! Excellent video, Andrew. Take care, buddy 😁🤙

3:06 omg that is soooo beautiful I don’t think we have anything like that around here I’m the granite state but I’m pretty sure I bought a tiny little piece like smaller than a quarter of that pure blue color for like $32 🤦 I would just be keeping everything I found pretty at this spot haha what a beautiful place and world we live in where things like these exist. Absolute beauty. Edited because I can’t spell and autocorrect is auto wrong

What material were they mining? Kind of hard to determine from the variety in the tailings.
@TheRogueRockhound
@TheRogueRockhound Жыл бұрын
This is not a mining site but rather a local "hounding" spot. Technically, they are not tailings, but I figured the verbiage would work for the situ. Think of it as a VIP spot for locals ^^ Thanks for watching Doug!!
