For people who don't know the context. Orel was obsessed with this song that taught him that you're strong if you ignore the blatant abuse others put you through. It lead to him being constantly bullied and beaten up by this bully at his school. His parents didn't care, not until bloberta (orels mother) noticed how bloody and filthy orels shirts were getting and didn't want to keep washing his clothes everyday. She convinced clay (orels father) to talk to orel or she'll have to up the detergent budget. So clay obliged and told orel that orel should fight back to anyone he sees raising a fist. Orel didn't like that idea until clay told him that orel would be doing God's work, because a fist is just praying with one hand. Hence orel thought he was doing God's work. Clay hates admitting he's wrong about something so he didn't even try to correct it.

Some mothers IRL actually do this to their children when they have had enough, or have been pushed to the brink of their patience by their children’s misbehavior. It is more common in low-income families with an unintended pregnancy. *_some don’t even regret it, or have premeditated/fantasized about killing their offspring for years._* You thought Homer Simpson strangling Bart was funny, but for many it was reality.

As a teen I thought that this show was hilarious. Now, being in my early 40s and a dad of 2, I feel so so bad for Orel. His parents neglect him with just about no love as well. His parents also don’t love or respect each other. The other adults seam to care just enough to give him the time of day. I cry just a little wishing that I could do something for this fictional child.

Orel gets a happy ending with his own family so it all worked out for him

Genially one of the most satisfying moments in the show

You can feel all the religious trauma coming through the animators from how hard they made clay get kicked in the balls

Clay's fight or flight responses are broken. He gets Orel off of him and the first thing he does is wipe his suit. Like seriously. Take a hint Clay. He literally got the jump on you. He wasn't gonna stop.
