Well he said at one video there was a point in life where youtube was never monetizing and he took donations but always gave them to charities and his ex gf left him so he was really really depressed at one year around when some of the best videos like this came out. I cant remember which year he referred this but it was true he definately seems way more energetic and happy with his community established on twitch now so its all good

It's not ambushing, it's practically forcing the absolutely terrified zombie to even get a glimpse of Criticals chadness. You probably didn't notice, but he cut out 10 hours of footage where he consoled and did various things to the zombie so it could do a single bite on Critical before literally disappearing from existence because the sole law of the universe dictates that there's no force that could harm Criticals Organ Trail characters
