Sn1/E1 and sn2/E2 reactions are the hardest combined with alkene alkyne reactions

43:05 to 43:17 Here you say we can infer endothermic or exothermic based on the potential energy diagram, but I dont believe that is correct. The potential energy or free energy may tell us about endergonic or exergonic, but we can't assume that to mean the heat of reaction (positive or negative). Do let me know yoir thoughts.

@49:20 Sir the rate of SN1 depends on the stability of "First Formed Carbocation" So according to this 1st one has more Alpha H in in its first formed C+, hence 1st has more rate of ren than the 2nd one.... Please review, thànks
@chrismargolis
@chrismargolis Жыл бұрын
Wait that’s how it works? Wouldn’t the first formed carbocation of the second structure be more stable because it is closer to a large electron donating group?
@crazedtanki233
@crazedtanki233 Жыл бұрын
3 degree carbo is more stable than 2 degree, and that itself is enough for it to be faster.....alpha hydrogens would come into play if they both were both 2 degree since the start
