What about heavy metals? Any attempt to test milorgonite for that? How is it treated to remove all the god awful crap people ingest and flush?
@JealousLawnCare4 жыл бұрын
@@hizzlemobizzle -- no haven't done any type of testing for that. Tough test...

I really like your tests. I see others do tests but never side by side. Most usually never get back to the results video as I'm thinking the results didnt give them the results they were hoping. Comparison videos like yours are legit because your not making money off either product. Great video.

Thank you very much for the kind words! Yes I have no stake in these tests, I also love these because most of the time I'm learning also.

My advice - Pickup a MySoil Test Kit for $30 on Amazon or direct from them. Send in the soil sample and in a week they post results online complete with graphs and advice as to what your lawn needs. Go to HD and pick up EXACTLY what your lawn needs...Milorganite, Purely Organic..or whatever. It's easy and takes the guesswork out knowing what your lawn REALLY needs. There are plenty of MySoil reviews online, it's a no-brainer. For tech/software guys like me, it's great to get the real data...on my smartphone. I do enjoy your videos all the same...

Yes that's a very important step especially for working on a new lawn (bought a house or something) to get a sense of the foundation you are working on. Good point to add-on thanks!

Do you mulch or bag your grass clippings?
@JealousLawnCare2 жыл бұрын
I always mulch the clippings unless I just put down seed or if the leaves are too many too mulch well (few times in fall)

Thanks for the video. I use Purely Organic but rotate with Simple Lawn Solutions. For color I use Ironite. May try the Milorganite.

Using Milorganite and seeing clover growth. Any suggestion?
@JealousLawnCare3 жыл бұрын
Strange, there shouldn't be any correlation between the two. But any fertilizer will increase growth of all plant types (weeds unfortunately too).

Great video and follow up on test. Front yard looks nice. How often do you apply the Milorganite and at what rate?
@JealousLawnCare4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I use Milorganite once a month and seems to be a good balance between time, money, and good green looks. I apply at the normal recommended rate on the bag.

They have some Milo in my area but dang is it expensive now . I’ve been using the cheap clearance stuff on my grass .
@JealousLawnCare4 жыл бұрын
The price of Milorganite changed by you? I wonder why, I haven't heard of that yet. How are you liking the cheaper stuff...any noticeable difference you've seen?

In my area PO is about 50% more than Milo, so it’s Milo for me.

Can't go wrong with milo, honestly I've recently been interchanging them in my routine and they are so similar.

The difference is the iron. If you want a deep green and more uniformity you'll have to use an iron product with the Purely Organic.
@JealousLawnCare4 жыл бұрын
Yes i just did a test on ironite product and thar produce quite a difference.

Iron makes a big difference with color only Milorganite has that in ur test so not exactly apples to apples comparison.
@JealousLawnCare Жыл бұрын
True not apples to apples also it will depend on current soil test of each persons own base as well.

You need to write a script and condense the video. You're just talking too much and rambling throughout the video making it harder to watch and spending a 1/2 hour on something that should be a 10 min video. Editing software can allow you to do voice overs or flash a quick label. Just a friendly critique, if you're hoping to grow the channel
@JealousLawnCare3 жыл бұрын
Yes some videos go a bit long understood, but I do put time stamps in all my videos to help out.
@Supanova70 Жыл бұрын
No iron in the organics. I`d rather have roots than green, Apples to apples add iron to your test that equals what milo has. they would all be uniform then.
@JealousLawnCare Жыл бұрын
True, good point...to make a more exact test between them
