Right on dude, thank you for dropping in. He did a good job with it. He had a sample for me to smell at the DGC cup and it was very familiar to me. Stoked you get to try it yourself. Cheers!

I have experimented with compost tea for many years with just greens and compost, once I added fish it made it better, then when I added urine it made it a lot better.

Let us know what you find out. Much respect seems to be many ways to get them but is it specific for a reason that we are seeing onion thrips? And also what are some of the many ways we may get thrips? And also the thrips will give your plant pathogens and confuse a diagnosis at times! I believe also from experience..cheers! Good luck!

Chad - purely anecdotal but on the WCA I made some then checked the ppm of the plain vinegar and the 'infused' vinegar. It went from about 1000ppm to about 8000ppm. After about 6 months I just checked and it's the same. You have vinegar, which has a super long shelf life but it can get sediment (but the vinegar is still fine) and you have a mineral that has been extracted at the molecular level, and obviously remains in solution. The shelf life should be years but small batches and using it sooner would probably be best. Another thing I tried was homemade calmag. I added a tablespoon of epsom to about a pint of WCA and got it as disolved as it was gonna get then let it settle and ran it through a coffee filter. I prefer having the calcium separate andd add it more often but the magnesium a few times a grow is good.

I like that approach. PPM may not tell you exactly what is in there, but you've demonstrated a change. Very interesting, thank you for sharing.

@@ChadWestport There are only so many things the vinegar could extract from the eggshell. Pretty sure most of that extra ppm is calcium.

My kale plants always have aphid problems but I never see them on the cannabis, I have problems with caterpillars around the end of August or beginning of Sept, the times I harvested in April, late Sept or Oct I did not see caterpillars and they always seem to like the most mature buds only, I suspect the caterpillar doesn't like colder temperatures in April or October.

Can a plant be brought back if you covered watered it?
@ChadWestport
@ChadWestport Ай бұрын
If a plant is over watered, yes, it can be brought back to a better level of health although a severely overwatered plant won't fully recover and offer the same yields as before. In many cases of improper watering there will be fine root hair death, but over time with a dry back period and better watering, they will create more. Cheers :)

Man, I saw one in there the other day too. Fortunately it was interested in the light, which made capturing it easy. But it did make me think where it came from. Cheers and good luck :)

I read a study on humic acid, it said it reduces thc and cbd by almost 40%. I want to know what yall think about it
@ChadWestport
@ChadWestport 26 күн бұрын
Dr Robert Faust (who founded BioAG) has done many field trials with fulvic and humic acids. I have been personally interviewing him when he discussed that high levels of humic acids in flower can depress THC levels. This was his goal, and it is a large benefit to hemp / CBD producers who must have low THC levels.

Animo acids help open up calcium ion uptake. Which animo acid?
@ChadWestport
@ChadWestport 26 күн бұрын
Chelation (key-lay-shun) is a big part of the magic. Chelation assists in nutrient uptake by minimizing the ionic interactions. Here is a little "copy/paste" bit that should help - Amino acid chelates also have a drastic effect on calcium uptake by roots, especially chelates utilizing the amino acids glutamic acid and glycine.
