Organic Hydroponics - Grow Bed Activation and Maintenance with Beneficial Microbes

To activate a organic hydroponic growbed with rhizobacteria, I am making use of collected roots, set upon or within the rock beds.
This does two things. One, if taken from plants outside of this bed it introduces new strains of root bacteria from another environment. Taken from a healthy viable soil is ideal. Secondly, as microbes support new plant growth, the roots provide a carbon nutrient rich feed to the bed microbes and other organisms such as #earthworms.
This is also how soil agriculture can benefit from #notill methods. Leaving the roots after harvest has the same effect as adding mulch or compost - it’s better because colonies are not disrupted or destroyed ( notill also lessens runoff and reduces labor and machinery costs). So, fresh roots are loaded with #commensal ‘#soilmicrobes’ decomposing root matter feeds microbes it decomposes the #rhizobacteria and #earthworms thrive and provide support adjacent seedlings, clones and transplants.
Carbon from organic feed/fertilizer serves a similar function plus gives additional nutrients to fulfill the demands of growing vegetation.
A bed filled with plant beneficial organisms derives energy and nourishment from roots and from organic feedings, creating a nutrient sink that if maintained is very stable. This should be evidence that bioponics and hydroponics when handled properly can meet the criteria necessary for organic certification.
