I just made some and it came out really well. My teeth feel great! It is a little runny so I added a little extra calcium powder but not too much. I know we are in the middle of summer so that probably is why. Even though it’s a little runny, it works really great.! Thank you Marissa for another great recipe that adds to Health

How does a magnesium/egg shell toothpaste sound? Natural toothpaste made with added eggshell has been making the rounds on natural living posts. I also brought magnesium because having it in toothpastes would be another great way to consume it.

Hi 👋, so was wondering if calcium phosphate was a good alternative to carbonate, as I got this idea do some research in what substances our teeth were naturally made of, turns out that calcium phosphate was one of those minerals madeup in enamel so I'm not quiet sure in which type is more effective for remineralising. What's your opinion? 😐🤨

I would like to recommend that gum health has a lot to do with inner tooth health. If the gums are not healthy, bacteria can get underneath your teeth and decay teeth from the inside out. So the outer teeth can look good, but teeth decay inside. I suppose this might be related to sucking hard candy or eating sugar and not brushing effectively. Gum health is just as important as tooth mineralization, but does not always get attention.

@ely42609
@ely42609 Жыл бұрын
Xylitol is not added for sweetness, but for helping reducing tooth decay. "Xylitol can starve the harmful bacteria in your mouth, reducing plaque buildup and tooth decay. This can help prevent dental cavities and inflammatory gum diseases. Xylitol-sweetened gum can reduce ear infections in children and combat candida yeast infections. Xylitol may increase collagen production and reduce your risk of osteoporosis. It also feeds the friendly bacteria in your gut." From my research, the amount of xylitol in toothpaste that it is NOT supposed to be ingested,shouldn't cause issues in IBS sufferers.

I have thought of adding charcoal! I would probably add some in place of part of the calcium powder. I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know what measurements I'd use, maybe start with 1/4 of the calcium? If you try it, let me know how it goes! I usually do oil pulling with coconut oil and peppermint essential oil, and that works in place of a mouthwash :)
