Organization 101: To-Do Lists, Part 1

In this video I discuss list-making, which for me is the first step in getting a jump-start on a specific project or, in this case, staying organized and focused in general on a day-to-day basis. I hope to upload the last two parts of this topic by the end of the week.
I know this video is on the choppy side, but I had some trouble cutting it down from 10:40 to 10 minutes max. I also realize I have a bad habit of looking at the camera screen and not the lens from time to time. Please bear with me, I'm learning as I go, and hopefully the quality of my videos will improve with time. Thanks for watching!

Soo cool how you look through your journals and are like: "Oh, that's neat" You probably do what i call my second shopping too. Once I come back from a shopping trip at the mall I sit down and have a look at everything I bought because I tend to forget I got something and then I'm always really astonished about what great things I got!! My dad thinks I'm weird because I do that...I think it's fun!

I have always loved organizing as well as things like pens and good paper. I save my old journals and color code them, too. Woohoo! I love journals (I've kept diaries since I was 10) and cute notebooks. I have journals in which I've written funny things my son & daughter have said or done since they were born (they're now 6 and 5). I use several notebooks or schedule books per year because I write down EV.ER.Y.THING!! Things to do, places to go, what I wore, people to call, events I attended, what topics of conversation I had with people, cycles, prayers, rants, things to buy..! PLUS a church journal! haha!

I have lists for my lists too. The danger in making too long of a list is you never seem to get it all done and then you toss it aside and have to make another list of your list. lol I do like the sense of accomplishment you feel when you mark something off as done. I just have to be careful not to make a list or several lists & then not following through.

So today is 5/7/20...I was watching different “chat” videos from ‘19, and I just decided to start at the very beginning of your videos. Ah, such youthfulness. In one of your more recent Q&A videos you just did, you said you were happier being older now. It’s funny, because I was just thinking that very same thing a couple days ago. The young women/girls of today irritate me a bit (sorry if that sounds bad, but idk how else to better word it 😬). I’m just happier having the wisdom and maturity that comes with age (40 😖) yet I wouldn’t mind having my youthfulness back. I’m so tired of being sore in one place or more 🤣. Anyway, I’m watching you, listening, and thinking you were just so stinking’ cute/funny. And I totally don’t mean that in a sarcastic or mean way AT ALL! It’s fun to watch you as a younger person, and it makes me wish YT and today’s technology had been around when I was younger so I’d have more of my past to look back on. This shall be a fun journey as there’s lots of your videos I know I haven’t seen yet. I first found you from some of your packing videos. Well, I think that’s all I wanted to say. I love what you do and it makes me want to do videos also. I just don’t have anything original to say, nor any skills to impart. I feel like all niches have been saturated. I have a handful of videos, but only one I’d call actual. Part of a trip video. I have a lot of material to work with, it’s just a matter of having time...which is never. Once I open that floodgate, many other things go by the wayside because I don’t want to stop editing. Maybe I’ll get there one day. Have you ever tried the "Task" program for your phone and computer? It syncs together and let's you check off thing from your list. Like you I am a huge fan of the notes program on my phone and I find this application also extremely helpful. I think it's by Mac and so it runs really well and doesn't have glitches like other organization apps I've tried in the past!
