As a computer developer for more than 40 years, I can tell you that one of the most user-UNfriendly things is having to constantly switch back and forth between keyboard and mouse. I'll bet you agree. The point is you might want to also mention (or urge people to use) the keyboard shortcuts, in addition to or instead of clicking on the tools. On the PC, one of my favorites (so to speak), is "F" to bring up the favorites collection. I also use "T" for transitions, "L" for library, and "B" for media Bin. Sadly, not all the keyboard shortcuts are available on the Mac, and we all need to urge Camtasia to remedy this. Thanks for these excellent tutorials. Keep 'em coming.

If enough people ask for additional keyboard shortcuts, I know TechSmith is eager to add features that people ask for... it's just a matter of "are enough people asking for them"... so anything you'd like them to add, definitely submit your suggestions/requests to them so they can add it to their list for consideration :-)

Another excellent video! Another way I used to get around having to resize my window because I had so many tracks in my timeline is to shrink the height of the tracks by using the vertical slider to the left of the timeline… By dragging it up or down, you change the global height of all of the Timeline tracks. Re-ordering the left menu is definitely a game changer as well.

Great tip! I use that slider a lot as well :-)

I use voice narration a lot, and it was always meandering around and usually in the 'more' area. Will it now stay where I place it.?
@RobtheMaritimer4 ай бұрын
Yes and no... It will definitely stay in the same ORDER you put it in... but anything towards the bottom of the list will always get bumped out into the "More" section if you make the timeline area higher. But if you put "Voice Narration" near the top, then yes it will stay there :-)

What is that vertical blue line to the left of you?

I don't know what you're referring to. Can you tell me at what time in the video the line shows up? I scrubbed through the video and don't know what line... sorry!
