LOL My husband is an "IT ANALYST" and when people say what does he do, I say "supports Mama!"... I have no clue what an IT analyst is, but I'm sure thankful for his job!!! My hubby is like yours, so very blessed to have a solid husband!!

You and your husband are such a cute couple! I purge my closets twice per year. However, I always had a lot of "work clothes"--and you are right, I only wore 20%. I retired in June of 2017 from a teaching job, and wow, how freeing it was to get RID of all of those work clothes! Now I dress how I want! Do I wear the same sweater 3 days in a row? Yup. My closet is so empty, and I love it. So much easier to find things! (I now have a home based business like you and I'm loving it).

Clothes are so hard to purge. I started working on the clothes in January and still very slowly going at it. Go Hubby! Always uplifting when mine finally decides to pitch stuff. Mine is a worse hoarder than me. I was shocked and thrilled when he began going through some of his things. More than 30 years together, so much junk, overwhelming. Taking it slow and steady, a bite at a time. When we finally get 2 or 3 bags and boxes to go out, I feel like cheering.

My husband's brother had a job that NO ONE knew what it was for like 5 years. There was a relative's anniversary party and my husband and I , along with his cousin & her hubby ended up on the topic of "What does Matt do?"... We all agreed that since we all could not figure it out, he was a spy. So listening to you tell about Joe's job made me think of that. 😁 I always love to hear how spouses that are total opposite of each other function...it's great.❤

Haha sounds like me and my hubby m crazy, I love crafts making stuff etc. I'm super disorganised but I hide my junk behind closet doors. Anyone visiting my house and trying to snoop in closets is in for a shock because open a door and it will all jump out, good luck getting it back in😀. But my husband is laid back great at DIY. He grounds me when I'm all wound up or worried about something.

I did this about a month ago. It's great. I honestly need to do it again for myself and my husband. Our kids got rid of two trash bags of clothes & shoes. It was great!! They grow so fast...it's hard to keep up. I'm the same way as you. Or I keep things, I'll wear that one day or for that one night out. Haha Love your videos!!

I’m on a mission to get rid of at least 50% of my stuff this year. So far I’ve done one big purge of my closet and I need to go back and let go of the stuff I like, but don’t wear. Your description of your husband and you sound exactly like me and my husband. He’s also very low key and methodical about everything. He always has an agenda or plan to whatever he’s doing. I’m more of a “which ever the way the wind blows” kind of gal. However, as time goes on I’ve adopted more of his “planning” and thinking things threw approach to life. 😜 Maybe smart people know something????

Great video! I try and do the 1 new item in 2 old items out I haven’t worn in a long time method. About a year ago I purged about 50% of everything I own- mean a whole house hold worth of stuff!. It was such a freeing feeling!

We just did this and had a party for all our friend to bring clothes and we took what we could use from the party and then everything went to a local church that just gives the clothes away to the needy. It was a lot of fun.

I love ur purge especially when u mentioned WHY KEEP what makes u feel BAD! Like a poor fit. I also am in mid-purge and one of my main criteria is if it ITCHES its got to go! BTW Im 7 yrs older than my hubby we had no idea when we met in our 20's 🙄 oh well 13 yrs later still happy n age difference has faded away.

I did this with my wardrobe a few months back, but I keep eyeing my husband's side of the closet :P I did pull everything out of the top of the hall closet the other day--it had been just holding random things for way too long. And by random things, I mean I found a pair of phone books from 2009, still in the bag they were delivered in!! I also found table-cloth pads which had been on the "to buy" list for the last month >_

Hahaha, my husband also went to the same high school as I did but never knew him. He also is over a year younger than I am. I always tease him when he says "my old lady" blah blah blah because I am older so he isnt lying, lol. He actually uses my name now and stopped calling me that phrase. Doesnt really bother me anyway, for some ladies it would. He is by no means shy, hahaha, very outgoing and an extrovert while I am an introvert. Complete opposites. Have you tried altering some of the shirts you love? I have a box in my closet that I love the fabric of, it's just don't look good on me. Yet. So I save it for a rainy day or when I have time at night, I'll break out my mini portable sewing machine or hand stitch little improvements they need while I watch tv or spend time next to my husband. I'm in no way super skilled, I just know basics which is enough lol
