@@GREG_Khar-NÜ-Metalhead2000 For sure, I agree with you, but when they covered Blue Monday which I would consider New Orders style to be synth-pop/new wave-ish mixed with Orgy’s style it gave an industrial vibe, and there are several genres orgy could be considered besides nu-metal. all I know Is becoming a fan of orgy sent me down a rabbit hole of subgenres that I never knew existed when I was young and that flourished into me finding true industrial, aggrotech and even all the metal genres I currently like.

Man....nostalgia a plenty! I was about 16 when I bought Candyass...it was actually the first album I ever bought myself...which turned into hundreds more over the years lol. But, your first album always holds special significance. And I legitimately loved their second album too...I remember my freshman year of college going on a trip to Washington DC with a bunch of fellow art majors and listening to it on the bus ride up...and making out with a super pretty Russian girl who was on the trip. Good memories...but yeah, their second album was kinda perfect for the vibe that was late 90s/early 00s Orgy. Although the albums they've released since those first two....are kinda shit, in my opinion. Unfortunately they seem to have lost the magic of those first two albums. Oh well...the music shall live on! Even though my taste in music has changed considerably since those high school and college days...Orgy is one of the only "nu-metal" bands of that era that I still genuinely love...along with Tool and Deftones of course. :)
@dallasbagley8 жыл бұрын
avedic Good read, but I don't know If I'd personally consider Deftones, and Tool nu-metal. Tool to me, is in it's own class of music, especially with their odd time signatures. If it stayed I'd never leave it If that turned around I'd grieve the special dirty things That we used to talk about I mean that loving you is strange And adored by me throughout Oh no it's you again Someday soon you'll find that someone Waiting for the chance to beat you Drooling on the set to feel you Blessing you with every kiss Tying yourself to me Stitch up my emptiness 'Cause you're the death of me So precious loving the thrill Tying yourself to me Stitch up my emptiness 'Cause you're the death of me So precious, loving the thrill Such the patient one who needs me The spoiled one who wins So shocking where's your sense Don't you know I hate you, oh Unsatisfied, you little girl Tying yourself to me Stitch up my emptiness 'Cause you're the death of me So precious loving the thrill Tying yourself to me Stitch up my emptiness 'Cause you're the death of me So precious, loving the thrill Rolling dice and seeming queer Bastard love, a sick affair Let's see what new disease you'll fetch I mean that fucking you is strange And adored by me throughout Oh no it's you again Blessing you with every kiss So precious you know this hate of mine exploded I'm so deranged you know, I will never be the same Tying yourself to me Stitch up my emptiness 'Cause you're the death of me So precious loving the thrill Tying yourself to me Stitch up my emptiness 'Cause you're the death of me So precious, loving the thrill So precious, loving the thrill So precious, loving the thrill 'Cause you're the death of me So precious, loving the thrill

This music video was popular on MTV right around February 1999...right around the same time that Korn's "Freak on a Leash" video was...of course many people complain about the fact that MTV has not played music videos for years...but my main problem is that those two videos highly overshadowed the Marvelous 3's video for "Freak of the Week" that was released at the same time! Dang. :(

I've never heard this song, I wasn't even alive when this album was released (2004 boy), but I feel some sort of nostalgic feeling listening to this. It's beautiful. Also, 2:03 "obligatory female" kek

Man, I remember me and my friends hating on these guys real bad in HS. We were into nine inch nails, Manson, skinny puppy etc etc and we thought they were such a cheesy band. But now that I'm older, I realize just how good they were and how great this song in particular is. it's funny how our taste change over time and how there was an entire world of music I completely overlooked back then. Glad my taste changed and that I grew up in that regard, and I'd give 10 years for one week of the year this come out nowadays.

Such an underrated and overlooked band. I remember I was like 12 or 13 years old when this song/album released and from the first moment I saw the video for stiches I was like WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?! And I absolutely loved it and was HOOKED! I thought these guys were so strange and alluring, unlike anything I'd seen or heard before and I kinda had a weird addiction to this band. Something kinda hypnotic about Jay Gordon's voice. Candyass was such an amazing album start to finish. Vapor Transmissions had quite a different feel but still very much Orgy and I loved that album very much as well. Punk Statik Paranoia was drastically different from the Orgy I'd grown to love, that synthy/electronic sound completely disappeared (as well as their more GLAM style) but I thought it was a good album none the less. It was a damn shame that this band broke up. Really wish we could've heard much more from them. Listening to this brings back so many memories tho lol

The beginning of the video with the robotic voice, as a teenager i thought that was the coolest thing. I grew up in love with technology and computers and IT stuff in general and when i hear Stitches on MTV back in the day i was like fuck yeah.

There was a small skip/glitch right at 1:40 on my burned CD of Candyass, I can still hear it when I listen to this🖤
