I think ludens is better if you are solo ap so you can go full pen build. Also seraph‘s is good if they got assasins or champs like J4 that can jump on you so you can surive longer with the shield

On Ori I do yeah, I suppose ludens might be better if you think you won't take any dmg but I think Ori really likes seraphs for sidelaning

You want to be able to lean to your jungler for extra safety + be able to spot out the enemy jungler early if they are going to contest your jungler on the scuttle

To climb to masters for first time, would you recommend mastering a single playstyle (eg scaling control mage) or having some form of champion pool diversity? (eg playing lissandra or Galio into assassins).

It's probably better to master a playstyle, but I think it's fine to have a little bit of champion pool diversity. If you can find one from within your class it's probably better e.g. if you main mages, try find a mage counter to assassins (LB/Liss) rather than a melee

Fairly new to learning league (first moba), currently bronze but been learning ori for the past week now, as well as other major concepts such as wavestates/objectives etc etc. Big thing that confuses me is runes. Why are you building precision as secondary? What are preferred situations for cosmic/comet/phaserush? I get phaserush for melee matchups but that's abt it, would love your insight.

Precision secondary is currently used because the runes in the tree are currently overtuned. All 3 of cutdown, ability haste and PoM are very very strong on mages so you basically always want to pick those up. Normally the rule is comet vs ranged, aery vs no sustain melees like ekko or talon (the ones that can't take doran's shield + second wind) and phase rush vs everything else. Sometimes you can go phase rush in ranged matchups if you just want to have stronger scaling, essentially phase rush will make you scale better but it comes at the cost of laning power.

Hey shok do you do coaching? I’m coming from smite as a GM (GM= challenger in league) and have very good MOBA knowledge/mechanics. I am already playing against plats with only about 50 games played total and feel like I’m struggling on early game laning. Edit: literally just checked details of video and there is a coaching link. I'm a current MLA member, I can't recommend it enough. Shok has coaching sessions 4-5 days a week, with other sessions from other coaches at every time frame, every day. With all the other resources included, $30/month is an insane steal.

9:28 100%, acting/baiting especially as supp/jg is essential to pull of a good gank. it sounds obvious but as an online game vs other humans, you've got to imagine things from their POV and feed into their delusion of safety at times
