Great job getting these fellows together again. I am glad that Dan Datch and Awoma concurred that they (musicians) don't bear long lasting grudges. I am also glad that Dan Satch is now better at explaining some of the intricacies, not known to the public, that led to the "feuds" -- leading to Aloy and Awoma's departure. A book or documentary needs to be made about the Oriental Brothers band. I am also glad that you didn't start singing today, you focused on their thought, which was great. There was a breakaway band from Oriental Brothers named The great Oriental Brothers Band, led by Ichita and Akwila. When you said, in the introduction, that you were at the country home of the "great Oriental Brothers Band", I thought you were referring to that band. I know that you guys are young, yet, you need to present your interviews as professionally accurate as humanly possible. Still a great job, though.

Without this interview, the entire Ngor-Okpala, Mbaise, Imerienwe and the rest of Imo state knows the founder of the band. Chukwuwmeka Opara aka Dansatch is the founder and arranger of the Oriental International Brothers Band. He also played a major role by composing most of the songs in their albums. As a matter of fact, every member of the band contributed very well and that's you can listen to their songs every day and anytime.

This interview should have been conducted in Igbo language. Oriental brothers never sang in English. The use of English limited them in expression.

@ZaramokuАй бұрын
@@scoreboardtv01 Don't you have the technology to insert the translation? It would be better to interview them in Igbo because, as others have observed, they weren't able to be more expressive of themselves here. If I were you, I would use pidgin English next time around.

Dansatch is a liar
@scoreboardtv01Ай бұрын
Kindly explain. Thanks.
@ZaramokuАй бұрын
He is not exactly lying, he is exaggerating his role. He got the basic story correctly -- he started the band idea and looked for musicians to populate it, but he didn't own the band. In retrospect, it seems to me that he treated his bandmates as his employees, that must have been one of the reasons the original group broke up. In this interview, he portrayed himself as Awoma's oga when the interviewer asked Awoma of his relationship with Dan Satch in those days; the ideal relationship was bandmate/colleague, not oga. Awoma likely ignored it because he wants peace to reign. In other interviews, I have heard Dan Satch refer to the other core members of the band, like Akwila, in similar statuses -- oga and boyi-boyi relationship. That has to be why there was turmoil and attrition of musicians in the band, leading to its eventual break up.
