I think over the last couple of weeks, Latrell has shown that he has the will to dominate his opponents and is fully focused. That was missing the last couple of years. This is an entirely different beast and makes this QLDer a bit nervous.

Capewell could be the smartest forward I’ve seen play too like a half/coach. Smart enough to know he is still a forward though and to hold off until the games on the line to try anything. Him and Munster were always the ones you’d look to for a random steal or chip chase they’re mavericks and see the game different

Slater is a great Coach and Madge is a career Coach. Game 1 was not really an indication of Coaching of Madge, due to 12 players against 13. So Game 2 will be a very interesting spectacle, with both Coaches being tested equally on neutral turf in Melbourne.

I would have probably rather had matt burton on the bench over connor watson cause I would much rather have burto anywhere in the outside backs than watson. if he’s being picked specifically as cover. i think robson should be playing 80 and if we are going to plan to rotate on a second hooker it should be api. We have a super flexible forward pack as it is since martin and crichton can play in the middle and murray can shift out to an edge, yeo can obviously play 13 and would probably do a job on the edge too. a lot of these guys are big minute forwards and could probably do 70-80 anywhere on the park too. for me the benefits for connor watson is really just being able to fill the 9 if robson gets injured but robson is so durable that im willing to take the gamble to get burto’s attacking upside and long kicking game. either way it’s still a great side
