Александр Пермяков Dually noted! It's a placeholder font for now, I haven't finished designing the one I'll eventually use. Out of curiosity, what don't you like about it? Low readability? Not a fan of the 'style'?

DoctorOctoroc I might go simpler and possibly all caps? It's readable but it does take a second to look at it and with how complicated the rest of the story is bound to get I would go for ultimate clarity in other areas. hope that makes sense! still looks awesome :D

DoctorOctoroc huh! I sorta like the font... anyways, this is really cool. As a composer i learned a lot about music from doing covers and remixes of existing material, which allowed me to later make my own original music. i'm getting the sense this is sort of what is happening with you... the 8bit remixes you did were all preparing you for making your own original pixelated story. either way i really like where this is going probably because i love dogs and the classic videogame aesthetic but also because it just feels very polished.

UncleBibby47 Thanks for the compliments! You're spot on - I've done countless arrangements and remixes of video games themes over the years, which definitely offers a lot of insight into how to compose with the sounds they used. This will be my first complete, original score and I'm really happy with the initial track that I created. that can be heard in this test animation. I'm working on a few others now building off of some of the cues in this one and expanding from there so I'll hopefully have a consistent style across the board but good variation to set the tone of each scene.

That's why I'm debating using V.O.'s instead of dialogue boxes - it's just a lot more work to sync the low-res mouths and I'm already taking on everything else on my own without casting dozens of people for the various characters. But I know if I can put it together, it will be better off for the series and, eventually (hopefully) the feature.
