Thanks for the video, this is much easier and the ones you linked are so cheap. I still have the controllers I used as a kid and I wrapped them way too tight so I'll probably replace them all at that price

The replacement cable you used, please explain, is it a 4 wire 5 pin connector?

Were do i buy replacement thumsticks from? Does the 360 controller thumb stick on this?

I use 360 thumbsticks. You can use Xbox one thumbsticks but they require a spacer.

It's a ts100, I'd recommend the similar size and performance ts80 because the tips are easier to change using a 3.5mm jack. The ts100 is great but requires an Allen to swap tips

Jim, do you know what the part number of the 5 pin connector is and if it is possible to just order that part ? Living in the EU means ordering from that website is quite expensive for shipping !

Sorry, I do not know the part number. If shipping is too expensive you can always fix it the old school way by cutting and shortening the cable to remove the damaged part. That method is just more time consuming so you have to weigh the options of time vs part cost.

Hi i just took apart my controller to fix the analog stick drift but when i put the controller back together it wouldn't turn on do you know what to do?

I would try pulling it back apart and re-seating the 2 boards together to make sure there is a good connection. You can plug in a USB c cable and check for power as long as those 2 boards are together.

One more question, the software you are testing the controller on afterwards, is that a homebrew xbox piece of software? Or are you testing it on a PC with a USB adapter? If its homebrew, can you share a link to it?

The software is homebrew and is available for download through the xbmc4gamers dashboard. Look up xbmc4gamers and closely follow the setup for the most up to date dashboard available for Xbox. You won't be sorry.
