Honestly, taking him out could contaminate or release this scp. This is essentially a window into a cold-discovery of an SCP. You have no idea the extent of the SCP. Likely, every one of these guys, even the guy who sat in the van, will go through a battery of tests to ensure they aren't contaminated physically or mentally. Hell, driving into the neighbourhood may have already dumped them into an alternate reality. Leaving behind the guy who is glitching, glowing and repeating numbers in a weird voice is a no brainer.

The reason why they are so chill about all this is because investigating weird phenomenon is their job. They have seen _even weirder shit_ than a house being controlled by glitchy computer. Their tactics and SOPs are also not standard because most of what they encounter are not even human to begin with (although I do admit they are lacking in the clearing department bit). Why they left their downed(?) man behind is because they don't know what will happen if they touched him or even _look_ at him too long is going to do to them, and so they play it safe. The Foundation does a lot of inhumane stuff all for the greater good, but considering the reality-breaking nature of their contacts, this is quite justified. "Secure, Contain, Protect" is a rabbit hole of cosmical creepypasta stories based on the fictional SCP Foundation sent to recon and document anomalies, then figure out how to contain them, if not outright destroy only if it poses a threat to reality. The next one, "SCP: Overlord" is phenomenal in production value and story. Hope you do react to it next week or this weekend!

Also for those wondering why the video ended the moment he hit 'Power', the implication is we started watching as soon as they got within range of the laptop's influence, and the laptop was slowly assimilating the nearby reality as digital files. This is why the corruption was so strong closest to the source; I'd imagine literally downloading a section of geography would cause storage issues. By the way, MTF stands for Mobile Task Force. They're basically the specialized soldiers that get sent out to secure or investigate new locations that might be dangerous before sending in regular people to document the anomalies, or recapturing escaped ones. The gear is supposed to look new as they are normally supplied with new gear each time depending on the task they are set. These MTFs are tasked with checking out a potential anomaly where as some will be tasked with containing an Anomaly the foundation has already located/contained before, therefore giving the correct equipment to complete the task at hand.

Nothing is known, including possible treatment of the anomaly. This applies to all anomalies that the MTF first interact with. The Foundation MTF are Mobile Task Forces that are elite forces drawn comprised from Foundation and are mobilized to deal with threats or situations that exceed the operational capacity or expertise of regular field personnel. They can also be relocated between facilities.

MTF = Mobile Task Force, the militiant arm of the SCP Foundation. MTF's are the special forces that respond to SCP's as needed, with some SCP's having enitre MTF's assigned to them. They usually have a callsign using a phonetic phrase with a number after them (Gamma-5, Tau-1, etc) and a nickname. No two MTF's are the same, and can range from half a dozen online hacktavists to a brigades worth of military firepower with tanks, APC's, SPG's and the whole shebang.

When you're talking about how calm they are always, they do work for the SCP foundation which literally houses God in its facilities and keeps tabs on a creature bigger than South America in the ocean. So there is the possibility they either see this stuff often or they're told they might see this stuff

The mobile task force are basically expendable for the S.C.P since there priority is the entity they're looking for not your safety. Like the entity they went after that you can't look at in the eyes and. The entire team was wiped out except for one.

When it comes to the foundation, all human lives are expendable. If things go south, you do what you have to in order to terminate, neutralize, or incapacitate/deactivate the anomalous threat. Losing one team is better than losing a city block or more. Also: MTF stands for Mobile Task Force (though they typically have some designation, which often indicates what they're dealing with in an ironic way).
