I don't know where she is getting her prices in this video. Because Samoyeds here in Chicago are half the price, and they do tend to have diabetics problems, but before you buy them it is on your ticket that they have received the vaccine for diabetes. I support most owners going to the shelters, but you can't make money off of breeding mutts.

My dog ... my mom calls and when he recognizes my voice, he barks back at me on the phone , or when he picks up and places the leash around his own neck asking me to take him out for a walk, he knows all our familly members and pets by name ... when he sees me packing my clothing he comes and softly lays his head on my lap, but growling like he was going to shread me to pieces, I gess it's his way of saying "I do love you, but I'm mad at you because I know you're leaving me again", and the way those brown eyes look at me, it breaks my heart because I know his is tearing apart too. One of the smartest dogs I've ever seen. Oh, all to say that it's a mixed breed and costed me less than nothing because he's just a rescue from the local pound ... he's priceless though.

Hi the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is not one of the worlds ,most expensive dogs - I have 2 and they are the same price as any other large pure blood breed (approx £1000). Wolf 'hybrids' on the other hand are more expensive, such as those crossed directly with a wolf or within 3 generations of the pure blood wolf.(These can be purchased anywhere between £3000 up to £8000 depending on the line)

My mother was a top Samoyed breeder for 40 yrs. Mary Frederick, Kendara was her kennel name. She never sold her pups for over $1000. I guess it depends on where you live, she lived in northern IL. She died 2 years ago. She left a legacy of beautiful, very carefully bred dogs that have been featured in breed books. many champions, and obedience titles even at least one search and rescue dog. the Samoyed is a very social dog and loves people and other animals. they do shed but not constantly, they are double coated and "drop" their cotton like under coat twice a year or so. This can be combed out and then will stop shedding. My shepard-bloodhound and my Alaska husky have soft medium hair they never stop shedding no matter how much i brush them. Check out Kendara Sampyeds to see my mother's legacy. If you have a pedigree for your Samoyed see if Kendara is in there.

I have to agree that Akitas will follow you from room to room, and very much communicate with you, I'm not sure if I want to say stubborn, although true, I prefer the term strong-willed, the one I live with is half German Shepherd though, although entirely or almost entirely with an Akita personality (specifically he's probably half American Akita), he does indeed lick himself similar to a cat, I didn't know this was atypical of dogs until now (I grew up with a cat, and shortly before the cat vanished, presumably to die, my grandfather got this puppy), I don't know if my grandfather bought this dog at all, it's possible he got a very expensive dog as a gift, although he might've spent five thousand dollars to buy the dog and I still wouldn't know even though we lived in the same house, though I personally am poor, so I guess I'm really lucky to live with such amazing dog that happens to probably be worth a lot, I don't know how much AA GS dogs usually go for, but I've seen a handful of videos that had them in there, either way Akitas are great family dogs, I advise socializing them to make them happy to play with almost any dog they encounter, though they can develop feuds with other dogs, there's a specific one down the street that the dog I live with hates very very much.
@iIO_OIi7 жыл бұрын
Edit: and yes. he also stalks rabbits and squirrels like a cat stalks birds mice and lizards, though I haven't had proper chance to let him... hunt, I would let him, but I don't know if I could watch, also his vision appears to not be what it used to be, so he sometimes stalks cats under the false impression they're food, though when he could still see well this wasn't a problem, perhaps if he was allowed to hunt regularly he could've developed better scent tracking which possibly would've prevented this cat problem, also he's very smart, he can pick up on social cues, I think this particular dog more often identifies women as pack leaders than he does men (I sometimes call my mother pack leader because that's how he treats her), and if he doesn't like a woman (or man), probably because she seems like she treats her pack poorly, then he's make a statement by barking angrily at her, BUT, he is not a vicious dog, he has never proven dangerous (remember, I can't really control him, if he really wanted to kill someone he would be successful), I've even seen him off leash in the front yard or on the side strip barking at some passerby-ers, at most stepping onto the sidewalk in front of this house, though he never drifts far from us, he also won't be running away or jumping fences if you treat him right, though puppies will be puppies... that being said my grandfather was far from a good or decent person, so the dog tried to jump the fence a lot when he was young, once escaping, but not even leaving the street (which is kind of sad because he didn't deserve the treatment he got), anyways we treat him much better now, and if he needs something he always lets us know, he acts a little different when he's asking for water versus asking for food versus asking for a walk ect.

Ruka Pacyfista, American Akita is one of the two splits of the Akita breed(s), the Japanese Akita is the attempt to remove e the hundreds of years of foreign influence in the Akita line, so in essence, where the Japanese Alita is the result of nationalism, the American Akita is an attempt to preserve practicality and function in the breed, American Akitas (AA dogs) are generally larger and come in any coloration, Japanese Akitas (JA dogs) are generally more slender and only come in three coat patterns.

Samoyeds are not so expensive. We bought a Sammy without papers for $150.00 after having been given a male years earlier. The male was incredibly bright, the female we bought when the male was 13 years old to ease our children's grief as we knew he has old, he'd gone deaf and was losing his eye sight. We loved them both very much, the female lived till 13, also went blind and deaf. Since then we had a Siberian Husky who also died of old age and we now have a 8 yr. old female German Shepherd we've had since a pup. Of all the dogs, the current one is the most intelligent. All great dogs, all very loving. The best thing to keep blood pressure normal for my husband, is having a dog to snuggle with as he watches TV.

Jim Shim I heard about TMs going for millions too. I think it depends on the pedigree/bloodline. Like the number 1... my Uncle have 3 and he’s not rich. I think that’s why some can go for such outrages prices. Tibetan Mastiffs used to be wild dogs that farmers domesticated to guard their property. It wasn’t until more recently that it was breed to be larger and more badass and now cost sky high like a luxury brand so that having it is like a status badge.

I used to be a dog bather as a teen. While in that job, I experienced a lot of different breeds in that year, though only the Rottweiler was the only one on this list that I experienced. I actually encountered 3 Rotties, and they were the most well behaved dogs I had to deal with. Very well trained and socialized. One I didn't have to bathe, just trim his nails. I accidentally 'quicked' him, cutting the nail too far back and made it bleed. I was expecting this fully grown hulk to act like most other dogs I've seen when that happened; snap at the groomer/bather. All he did was a quick lift of the lip as if to say 'ouch' then quickly resumed a serene expression. Not once did this rottie jump, snap or try to pull his paw out of my hand. I was impressed with his self control, and respected this big, powerful but peaceful dog. The others I encountered I actually had to bathe. Of course they were full grown and I couldn't lift them into the tub, I had to lead them up into the tub to bathe. They were easy to lead and didn't fight or disagree .... unlike the trouble I had with most of cocker spaniels or yorkies.Of course Rotties can be excitable and aggressive if not well trained and properly socialized. My sister had one boyfriend that got a rottie puppy and he didn't train it, instead being rough with the poor pup. The idiot wanted the rottie pup to grow up aggressive .Grrr ...
@shearslisa7 жыл бұрын
This OP hasn't done her research.... Yeah, if you want a breed with its' papers, so it can go on and re breed and become a member of the ckc or akc aka canadian or american kennel clubs. .... you can buy any of these breeds for btwn 500$ and 1500$ . Also, rotweillers, are not considered dangerous, as they aren't a cross breed, like pit bulls, and are family friendly, often waiting until the entire family has entered the car/home/destination prior to entering themselves, they also check the home upon entry and pace/walk with the same pace as the human pack...... Watch out for buying these or any other blue blood breed,, as you'll often wind up with parvo virus, which breaks down the intestinal tract and to save them is extremely difficult, I did it once; there is only a 3-8% survival rate, and you must feed them via an iv bag. Also no dog will disobey despite what she said, a hose....... try it, you'll see how quick they listen..... harmless and teaches them, you are the alpha dog....

One of my mom's puppies got parvo once... He was only about a month and a half years old. He stopped eating, he'd puke and diarrhea poop everywhere, and he grew skinnier and skinnier. They never adopted a puppy from that place every again.

Not sure if the creator of this channel realizes this, but I think several of those photos for the Tibetan Mastiff were actually Caucasian shepherd (Ovcharka). Not easy to catch, and even now I'm not entirely sure because of how similar they are but the only reason I noticed was because of one photo and the fact I was looking into getting an Ovcharka at one time. Ovcharkas are like 5-6 grand and that's not including shipping to get them from Russia to anywhere, they were originally bred to fight off while bears in Russia iirc.

I have been wanting a purebred GS since my last one over 20 years ago, and i have no guilt about it at all and could care less what people think. As a matter of fact i have a 7yo mix right now, he is GS,husky & part wolf. He is smart, stubborn ,thick headed and cunning. To be honest i would never own that mix again , because its like a lightning storm in his head , hes smart like a shepherd but thick headed like a husky and very difficult to train. But anyways to each his own, the important thing is that you treat your pet right and love it whether its a rescue or purebred....

We had the louchen breed or Tibetan Apso as we call them in Nepal, her name was Sumi and we kept her son and gave away other babies for friends for free as my dad only wanted to keep Tommy her son. They are really cute and loyal dog. Later we lost Tommy after he got old. The cute about him was a his own hair comes near his eyes and he keeps shaking his head to Clea r it. But maintenance they need.

Tibetan Mastiff is used to guard domestic animals against wolves, snow leopard, eagle, foxes etc. Tiger is present only at a lower altitude of Tibet bordering China. In the recent decades, researchers have observed that tigers have moved to a higher altitude of the Himalayas in Bhutan due to global warming and also the scarcity of prey.

We have 4 Tibetan mastifs, just love them, and they love us and the purebred Pembroke corgis and their pups that we also raise. Yes they can be stubborn, but usually will follow most basic commands. Nice thing is that after some attention, they wonder off and lay down, unlike the constant attention seeking corgis, lol

My favourite dog breed is the Chow or Chow Chow as they're called as puppys. I have two Chows, a blue female. Black Chow's have a blue tint. I also have a red male, he looks like one of my favourite animals and that is a male lion. My male Chow has a big thick fluffy mane much like a male lion. Full purebred Chow have one distinctive feature about them and that is their mouth and tongue are purple. Chow's look much like the Tibetan Mastiff. Chow's are extremely loyal to their owner and tend to be a one person dog, they are very protective, very smart, very easy to train, they can be stubborn and like myself, they do really don't care for children. LOL

Went home with this girl one time, and in the morning I couldn't get out because there was a Tibetan Mastiff chained up at the front door of the hostel and it wanted my blood. Literally stood there for about an hour trying to figure out what to do cause this thing was terrifying! Eventually found a passage that led to a back door instead. "Fuck. that."

All mastiff breeds have similar qualities, they were bred to think on their own and thus generally don't listen too well.

The Tibetan mastiff is pretty expensive when you consider the food costs too. I wonder if they don't live as long though since big dog breeds have a life expectancy of 5 years or so.
