Me encanta Orizaba. I need to return soon. We took our two teenagers on a trip to Mexico City, Puebla, Orizaba, and Oaxaca in 2012. We went to Orizaba because at the time it was one of the few places in Mexico at that time with a zipline, which was a must for my son. We took a jungle tour with some locals. Pico de Orizaba is beautiful and reminded me Mt Rainier at home. The teleférico was not open yet. Now thanks to you I will plan a return trip to visit Xalapa, Veracruz, and Orizaba.

What a sweet story! We really wish we were able to see pico de Orizaba better when we were here! That’s funny it reminded you of Mt Rainier, another stunning place. You definitely should plan a trip back here. It would be interesting to see what is different in orizaba since you visited in 2012.

I guess Orizaba no longer has the pasaporte orizabeño 😕, this passport had all of the museums and tourist spots and you could get stamps for each place you visited like your own passport.

I hate to be this person, but, the architecture in NOLA is actually Spanish. The buildings with the pretty balconies are distinctive of many Caribbean cities founded by the Spanish invaders.

The city looks great, very old, but it's so sad to see those poor animals ''living'' in such deplorable conditions. Very uninviting for tourists.
