Still kinda sucks they're a 5+. I know it makes sense in lore and is good for the game but they seem they'd be better in shooting

​@@ChristianEphraimsonI think the was an error on the datasheet, which said 5+, because he said it's 4+ if they haven't moved, so flashgitz in a truck or battlewagon are still good.

​@@hmmm348it's not a typo. The key word heavy now works backwards, basically you get +1 to hit if you don't move, rather than -1 if you do. So their 5+ becomes 4+ if they don't move.

Hey, I just wanted to say I absolutely love all of your videos. Don't stress to hard about getting the videos for all of these indexes out too soon. I've seen other KZbinrs get burnt out of keeping up with rapid changes in their games (be it tabletop or video games), and I'd hate to see it happen to you. Keep doing what you're doing and do it at a healthy pace. As much as I'd love to see videos for my armies, I'm content to wait. Especially if it means a more complete review including points costs. You're a pillar of the community and I want to see you keep doing what you do!

Auspex is right when he says that Mob Rule does nothing. There isn't a single stratagem you can use in the Command Phase except Mob Rule and Insane Bravery, so it's literally a useless stratagem. It likely is supposed to say until the end of the turn or battle round.

Great. Here I was hoping that Mob Rule Would actually do something like in 8th edition. But I guess I'll settle for it to be completely pointless like in 9th.

Same thing happened with one of Votann's enhancements. I forget the name but it's the one where you can treat an enemy unit as having another Judgment token but it only lasts in the Votann player's command phase its activated in. There is no possible interaction with Judgment tokens in the Command Phase

Points allowing I can see a common play being Zogrod driving his super grots to school in a trukk with their scout 9 ability. This can really reach along way on turn 1, between the 9 inch scout move and then a trukk's 12 inch movement. Turn one you could have your gretchin move 21 inches from deployment, disembark on an objective and start farming up command points.

It’s probably an oversight, but meganobz don’t have keyword MEGA ARMOR. You can technically shove 12 of them into a trukk or 18 into a battle wagon thanks to this.

The Mek Speshul on the snazwagon used to be damage 2 so a massive hit. Also its big shoota was grot gunned so should also hit on 4's like the blast.

You can shoot Pistols with other guns of a Vehicle that's just a universal thing now.

Reading the index the main thing that stuck out to me was the GW power creep on the Beast Snagga units (the boss on squig and named character on squig, the beast hog things etc, even the snagga boyz compared to boyz) just to sell more of the newer models. It is so blatant it honestly puts me off using them. i understand they're a company and their aim is to make money, but damn

@@Belgrond - Normal Boyz have no rules, except get Battle Shocked less, and only when you jam a Warboss into them. Beast Snaggas, especially the mounted variety, are the only decent way to deal with T10+ vehicles though, which is really really crappy. I didn't want that aesthetic in the force I was thinking of starting. Now I just won't start one.

@@jimijames6449 - I like it! How would you make/convert "traditional Orky" squig hogs? I like their rules, but hate their models. Love the Nob on Smasher though. I don't know why, but 2 legged squigs are fine, but 4 legged ones, or ones with wheels, just seem too goofy.

@@DiscoKevin69420 Well, there's good monopose (KT Veteran Guardsmen for example) and there's bad monopose. The current Boyz kit are clearly worst monopose.

I've been playing Orks for a long time and continuously see the fun rules being taken away. With this round not being able to roll on the Strenght of the Shokk Attack Gun was yet another slap. I've 'accidentally' rolled a 12 in deciding games maybe a handful of times but boy oh boy were those memorable.

Sad about the loss of distinct clans. I have an Evil Sunz Speed Freek army, which has been kind of undone. It's all Goff and Snakebite now. The red ones no longer go fasta.... :(

@@JustMyOpinionOfficial Probably, but that's a long time to wait with a now essentially functionless army. One I put a lot of time and money into. I was hoping they would do something like with Chaos where they retained the flavor of the different gods. Instead, they picked one clan and went all-in.

Seeing how all the infantry have 6" move, all infantry is effectively evil sunz. A bit ironic that most if not all speed freeks became slower though.

A thrown knife is basically a slugga. Dual kill saw nobs is just a klaw that requires both arms. They shoot their slugga with their mouth. Don't forget, sluggas don't have to be in their hands, they can have them on their hip/back/chest etc.

I don't think there's any problem with having stratagems that are situational. If you have some which are always helpful, then having a couple which have niche use is great - you won't need to worry about using up precious CP on them most of the time, but if that situation does come up then you have another option you can use. It's kind of what I'd have liked more stratagems to be, to be honest - tricks to pull in less common situations, but not things you'd be using every time you have the opportunity.

Mob rule is literally useless and careen is only marginally better. Its not better to have worse options so the choice is easier, if they actually did something good but niche then maybe.

I think it's a pretty good index if you are fielding a melee heavy list. And i see why they went that way, as it is kinda the default ork play style but it really does leave every other style of ork army sitting on their arse waiting for the codex.

Yeah... really not thrilled that squighog units are pushed as the almost auto-include antitank units, not at all what I was going for with my orks, and look what they did to my tankbustas! Not a big fan of the fixed loadout, but it's ok, I still love my green freaky ladz, overall they look like they'll be fun !

In so happy they kept the careen strat, its easily my favourite ork strat. Most of the time you cant use it, but its really thematic, and can be incredibly useful

With the warbosses extra attacks rule it effects the Squig too. So actually +8 attacks on top of the additional Waaagh attacks.

I wonder if grots have an error on their sheet, they aren't battleline but they have OC 2 per model like battleline. Probably going to see one of the two change

Why would it be a mistake? BATTLELINE just controls how many you get to bring this edition, its just that OC2 troops tend to be the kind of bread and butter infantry that you often want to bring more than 3 of

As a Bad Moonz player these datasheets seem to get more and more underwhelming. Hopefully the codex throws us a bone but I'm not hopeful for shooty Orks.

Generally good - characterful and can see a few decent, fun ways of playing even though it's basically a Goffs detachment but some of these unit restrictions are batshit. Max of 5 in a Tankbustaz unit and you have to take rokkit pistols and tankhammers. And nobz only allowed 1 CC weapon. Well that's a lot of changing models for a lot of players!

I hope they'll bring out more shooting rules, cause everything seems very melee heavy, and feels more like 3rd edition orks with big blocks of boys. The units do have a lot of interesting abilities, and stats, so maybe they won't have to give us any shooting rules. Flashgitz with kaptian badrukk, are looking to be very scary, and big meks.

Isn't it now, that when you're firing out of a vehicle, you are using the vehicle rules? So if you Buff a Trukk or a Battlewagon with Mek repair (+1 to hit for the next shooting), you should still be firing Lootas on 5+, even if you moved. And Trukks and Battlewagons have enough Firing Decks (12 and 22).

I saw this too. And Ghaz is hurt as a result, since he can only run with these losers now. They are one of the only ways to hit above S10 though, but this is itself less relevant with the Beast Snaggas.

Their intent is anti-elite. They'll hit on 3s with a megaboss and with sustained hits, it matches hitting on 2s. During the waaagh turn they'll gain devastating wounds on top of lethal hits with Ghaz. They traded more surety of those attacks translating to dead models instead of just a bunch of failed rolls.

20-40 minutes in: 21:00 Seriously, no one was ever fielding runtherds independently anyway. I called them being folded into the unit like spannas are in loota/burna units years ago, only surprise is that it took this long. The fact that they benefit from the Waagh in full now might actually lead to some very embarrassing casualties from a grot mob overrunning you, and the CP farming is a nice addition. Probably still not worth adding Zodgrod to the mix here unless he's very, very cheap indeed, but his super-grots do punch well above their weight class. 23:00 Stormbaoy are probably nonviable now. The reduced unit size and loss of charge rerolls hurts a lot more than gaining painful advance and charge helps, and the changes to both Overwatch and the addition of so many things that can efficiently murder Fly-keyword units leaves them far more vulnerable than when they could gamble on deepstrike charges more efficiently. 26:00 Tankbustas are also probably nonviable, and certainly can't perform their traditional role of being the actual main guns on a battlewagon. If they've become very cheap they might still be useable, but 40% of the unit is now effectively unarmed at teh ranges they want to operate at. No one was taking rokkit pistols or tankhammas before, and being forced into them means spending points on models that are likely to contribute nothing but soaking a couple of casualties. Even with their much-improved vehicle/monster rule this isn't "a tiny bit unhelpful" unless those waste models are down in the single digits point cost-wise - and of course few people even bought the official kit when proper tankbustas were so easy to build using the generic boyz kit and unused parts from the loota/burna frames. And just to add insult to injury, they didn't even give the nob his extra attack with his close combat weapon. Lazy as hell. 28:00 Lootas get to hit rerolls, not to wound, AT has got them reversed. It's just awful given the base 6+ on their guns, and even when aiming with Heavy rerolling into a 5+ is not great. Better than nothing, but still nowhere near as good as rolling wounds would have been. These guys had better be cheaper than they were, because they're a lot worse than in 9th and they weren't great there. 29:00 Burna Boyz are arguably improved quite a bit, although going to WS 4+ on the cutting flames really hurts a lot and AP or no, they're still just S4, which is not good in 10th. Their special rule pushes them more toward very close range shooting despite getting their melee AP back. They definitely want a character with the fall back/shoot/charge enhancement leading them. 30:00 Flash Gitz have also had an effective downgrade due to the nature of 10th, even while gaining some small benefits. There are a lot more things with T6 walking around in the game now, almost of which have the kinds of saves that make -1AP pretty inadequate (and boy are they going to struggle with gravis). T12+ heavy tanks are now completely beyond their reach to realistically damage. Their unit leader also lost his +1BS squig, which is just one more downside. 31:30 Unless nob point costs have plummeted they're probably worthless again, although maybe the cheapest variant would serve okay as a warboss bodyguard. In 9th they were never much use at shooting, but the kombi changes have made that even more true. The fact that they still will not give them their morale support function back is beyond maddening. Also worth mentioning that all ork power klaws have been significantly nerfed, dropping from S10 (or S12 for the warboss) to S9 means a lot in terms of efficiency, and not just against vehicles. No longer doubling on T5 targets is a big swing in 10th, where more factions than ever have access to T5 infantry. All of that also applies to mega-nobz, which are absurdly expensive figs and really are not going to be faring well against modern terminators at all. They were always inferior, but the gap has widened to the point where they'd better be down in points cost quite a lot. 35:00 Koptas have had a weird change where you probably don't want (and don't have to take) the kustom mega-blasta any more. They've got a mutant version of its big bom rule baked in to the unit now, and the weapon itself is flat-out inferior to rokkits on average. Why risk hazardous for 3 shots at d6 damage when you can get d3 shots plus Blast bonuses and rerolling wounds to improve the chances of scoring that flat D3? The only time the KMB will be even vaguely competitive is against units with 4 or fewer models, and even there the lack of a wound reroll will hurt badly. Given that you can't even build the kit with pure rokkits I'm surprised they didn't force the inferior option the way they did with teh shitty tankbusta rules. Hopefully these things are cheap enough not to be useless against all the added anti-Fly trickery in the game now. T6 doesn't help much versus real AA weapons. 37:40 Mek gunz might be the brightest point in the index. Their weapons were always good, and now they're better across the board, with teh Bubblechukka and Tractor Cannon maybe benefiting the most. More importantly, they have meaningful 7+ leadership options at last, with the mek making one gun more accurate and repairing damage (like, say, from Hazardous) steadily, while the shokk attack gun big mek adds another solid gun to the unit, extends the reroll one to hit effect to all targets, not just mobs, and gains a nice chonky bodyguard unit to boot. You might want a mix of guns in a unit for different options, as well as a the practical aspect of not needing to buy multiple kits (assuming you were buying any at all) - a monkey could use the spares from one to kitbash every gun option out of parts.

squighog nob + the character upgrade that gives devestating wounds, hes doing 8 mortals to a vehicle in the turn you call a waagh (average 5 when you dont), then ALSO has his extra squighog attacks, without the character upgrade vs a 3+ save vehicle or monster its 4 damage avg him combined with a squad of squighog boys, vs a knight in the turn you call the waagh 6 squighog boys buffed by the nob have 4 attacks hitting on 2s exploding 6s (so 4 hits on avg each) then anti vehicle/monster 3+ they are getting 12 WOUNDS at -1/2 against a vehicle or monster target, assuming a 3+ save, thats 6 failed saves for 12 damage combined with the nob they then also have 27 hog attacks, hitting on 3s exploding 6s at 6/1/2, will average 7.5 wounds to T11, 3.75 wounds toT12+ with just the character upgrade and a waaagh called (which benifits a LOT more then just these squighog boys) thats an avg 24 damage to a KNIGHT in one round of melee, 20 without the character upgrade for 250ish pts and one character upgrade, thats a dead knight, 90% of a dead knight with NO resources spent, just a 250pt unit charging during the waagh theres some combos in this book which continue to prove "anti" rules should be WAAAAY more sparing then they are

@@richmcgee434 I missed the end of 2e by about a year or 2 so i never got to play it. 3e did seem to strip some goofy stuff, but I liked the loota and looted vehicle rules, and the SAG rules from 4/5th look more fun than the 2e version at a glance.

@@T0mm3n 2e let the goofy stuff get in the way of fun gameplay at times, although the SAG was still pretty entertaining IME - just very slow to resolve. Looted vehicles were always a lot of fun, but they've been gone a long time now and worked better in th eold days when even having a couple of tanks on the table was kind of rare. Both RT and 2nd were more infantry and dreadnought focused than even 3rd was, in part because there were so few GW kits and not everyone could do their own conversions. RT *was* the time of deodorant-dispenser grav tanks in the core rulebook, after all. Very different mindset back then, far less naked profit-driven. Gotta admit, 10th is leaving me cold now that we've seen the points. Chilling move toward AoS land, which is a terminally dumb game.

I think this'll all hinge on one thing - points cost. Some of the nerfs or omissions are a bit odd, but if the points cost is low enough they might redress those issues. Still, we'll be waiting for the codex to get the more in-depth rules I'm guessing, where would we be without GW double-dipping on us. Makes the training-wheels armies obvious enough that no-one can argue anymore... Orks ain't nevah been playin' on Eezy Mode!

For normal attacks, yes. For precision attacks, no unfortunately 😢 Precision states “the attacking model’s player can choose to have that attack allocated to that Character model…” so Ghaz is screwed to precision hits.

My thoughts exactly, I don’t quite get the appeal of 10th edition at least as it is now without codexes… it seems like bandwagon appeal is a big factor in 40K, personally as an Eldar player I’d rather stay playing 9th until codexes are out and I can rejudge it then.

honestly annoyed by how much twin linked there is in this, halving the shooting of most vehicles and the reroll wounds doesn't make up for it when the roll to hit is the big hurdle for orks. Also as an orks player, I play to roll as many dice as possible. rerolls are just un-ork like. If you're not wounding then you just need more shots I's think

The loota rule is re roll hits, not wounds. Especially disappointing as it is redundant with the big meks that can join them. Watrike has a 5+ invuln. Not at 5+ FNP. All in all ork index looks very mixed. Very significant problems with strategems and quite a few units. Some are great, some seem really underwhelming. Speed freaks/shooty units seem really dead until the codex drops. Even then idk if a detachment would solve things for them without fixing these data sheets.

Thoughts on viability of the fORKtress? Nice little combo is the beastboss on squigosaur with the enhancement killchoppa. He has anti vehicle and infantry on 4s so between his choppa and squigs jaws, he should be dealing a shit ton of mortal wounds against about anything!

I find it silly that Orks on foot can now have a longer effective charge threat range than Space Marines (namely blood angels) had with jump packs. The +2 adv/charge enhancement + ‘ere we go gives 22” average: Blood Angels with the Wrath of Baal gave their jump troops an average threat range of 21”

First 20 minutes: 6:10 Calling Careen a dud strat is an understatement. On average it's useable a little bit less than once for every six vehicles in your army (because there will be times when more than one vehicle explodes in the same phase, so only one can benefit from the strat) and all the buggies and the dreads are now locked to 3 per army maximum, so you're going to see a lot fewer vehicles in armies going forward. The notable exceptions might (depending on point costs) be killa kans and mek guns (both of who can still be taken in groups) but neither is exactly an exciting choice for Careen. I would be surprised if you get an opportunity to use the strat twice per game in any kind of meaningful fashion, and 0-1 seems quite likely. 8:30 Mob Rule is an even more complete failure as a strat. It does literally nothing as written, and as AT said, even extending it till the next Command Phase wouldn't help much. Desperately in need of a complete rewrite, perhaps letting the same bubble of units around a healthy large mob reroll shock tests or something. 11:10 Kunning But Brutal most likely goes on whoever accompanies your Burna Boys, assuming their costs haven't ballooned to make them completely worthless. There's no reason at all to apply fall back/shoot/charge to Lootas with their godawful 6+ to hit guns, whereas Burnas can be taken in large enough blobs to hopefully have a few survivors of a round of melee and definitely benefit from getting some more flame and/or spanna guns firing before either going back in with cutting flames (which is real bad at 4+ to hit and only two attacks, but at least it's got some AP) or just squatting their to Overwatch again. 16:10 AT overlooked the army wide change to M6 for infantry, with mega-armor being M5. It's not a big change but every bit helps. We're no longer one of the truly slow armies when it comes to footslogging. 18:00 Can't be 100% sure till we see the points, but it appears that GW is still convinced that shoota boyz are just as good as slugga/choppa boyz. They've been getting that wrong for seven editions now since the weapons were introduced in 3rd edition. This is only made worse because they're still selling that dreadful (and quite expensive) monobuild boyz kit with the bizarre forced mix of both weapon types. The new edition's given them the chance to improve shootas to make them truly viable even inside the melee-focused launch detachment, but nope, it's just the damn 9th ed failure repeated all over again. Lazy and incompetent. Rokkit launchas are arguably one of the bright points of the index, and depending on costs may really outshine the big shootas again. Changes to tankbustas have made accessing rokkits much harder than before and even if they are even worse at dealing with actual tanks 10th ed Blast makes them brutally effective on infantry, far more so than the lackluster shootas who got no effective changes at all. On the subject of boyz themselves, their special rule ought to read "Nob" in the unit so it's always active while "sarge" is alive, since the traditional role of nobs was keeping order by busting heads. Losing a model for a reroll is already enough of a penalty, hard-pushing a Warboss into the unit is just uncalled for.

This index genuinely feels so disappointing. If the points cost of most of the units is very low then it can be salvaged, but to see the very few shooty orks get their abilities that made them a threat (No more buffing flash gitz to 3+ shooting, grots don't seem to give some guns 4+ on vehicles, etc) is a very big kick in the teeth. It feels like GW is simply saying play exclusively Goff's or don't play orks.

Somehow, Ghaz is more expensive than Calgar, who can go with many kinds of units, comes with 6 free ablative wounds that also have a 4++ and grant him a FNP while also granting 10 extra attacks that are useful, all while being able to ride in a Assault Ramp transport without taking up more space than a dreadnought. Careen is absolutely amazing, this edition. It can only be used in the event you roll a 6 on DD. If you don't then you can't use the strategem. It's basically a free unit wipe on sixes for anything battle line. Roll 6, use Careen, slam the Trukk or Stompa into the enemy's battle line and BOOM You can't lose, here. Is it situational, yes, but it's less situational than it was in ninth edition. Ork vehicles were already a humongous threat with a huge threat range. This just makes them even scarier. If you're fighting Orks you better PRAY they don't roll a 6 on Deadly Demise, because you're going to lose a TON of models for 1 CP.

Enhancements are "buffs" that go on Characters (but not Epic Hero ones). They have a point cost, but we cannot see what that is yet. Think of them as paid-for-in-points relic upgrades.

A whole lot of yes and no's from this. -RIP custom jobs unless they appear in points. -Eeeeverything lost the old dam-1 ramshackle rule, to the surprise of nobody. -Battlewagon less sturdy without the rolling fortress 5++ going to just 6++ in its base stats. But it does do better vs armour pen weapons now. Good thing they got that much because the premium ork transport might not be worth taking without that. -Flash Gitz mostly the same, better firing range tho and do come with choppas. -Ork kombi weapons are thankfully not up to 6+BS, that'd really suck. -Dakka weapons are just rapid fire weapons now. -Stompa has an invul save for the first time in its existence. It's only 6++ but it's still something! -Killa kans... can sometimes end up killing allied units on a roll of 1. But above that they can straight up ignore cover. Big shootas and rokkit launchas all feel pretty good on them now. -Dakkajets auto-crit anything they can actually hit. But it's still ork shooting. But it does have up to 18 shots, because it has starting wargear of 2 twin supa shootas and can get an additional 2 and all of them have rapid fire 2 sustained hits 1. -Lootas get a singular reroll of 1 every time they shoot, if the enemy is on an objective they can reroll the whole hit (still singular) roll instead. -Big Meks in mega armour are pretty damn good. They can keep bringing back a meganob every turn, anddd come with 4++ invul save because why would you run tellyporta blasta instead. -Orks have pretty low strength on their weapons aside from stuff revolving around klaws and killsaws. But even those just go up to S12, or S14 in Ghaz' hands. -Annoyingly, S10 and up shooting comes almost exclusively from mek guns or the stompa's weapons. That seems to be it... -Tons of HQs lost wounds. I know everyone else's did too but orks have more wounds to compensate for shit armour saves. -Beastsnagga boyz, Boyz, are all battleline, have all gone up to 5+ save and still keep T5. -Meks have the lone operative rule when near to allied ork vehicles, and obviously still heal ork vehicles. Most importantly they give +1BS to the vehicle and all its occupants, so good ork shooting is still somewhat possible. -Painboyz and Painbosses give 5+ FNP to their squad but don't actually res dead units. The painboss does heal d3 wounds on ork beastsnagga characters though.

“Simplified, not simple”- GW For the love of Chaos, we keep falling for this stupid grox over and over again. We should’ve known everything was going to be jank in regards to the Indexes. Off the bat we know who’s posed to be the top armies until FAQs, ultra rapid erratas (Deathwatch), or their codex drops, and even with all that mess, GW can’t even proofread their sh17. So many rules interactions that are RAI but are being heavily argued as RAW by the competitive AND casual players because of how confusing and open ended the interactions are. And until they clarify -1 damage can hit zero (whereas in the core book, it only mentions that hit/wounds are the only thing that can’t reach zero/impossible, and to make matter WORSE, there’s been clear rules distinction between similar abilities that say “-1D (to a minimum of 1)” and those that don’t, which is either a mistake on GWs part or worse, that’s intentional), it’s just gonna be more confusing for both current players and potential new players. Tldr; fix your ass, GW. Y’all rly need some “of the people” designers to help with your rules making.

Unless im missong something, the way super-cybork body is worded means it can be given to any ork model. Since wagons and buggies and walkers all have the ork keyword, are they technically eligible for the feel no pain?

Not sure if I like the low number squads I put a lot of time and effort into my mobs. That said for new players this is probably much better.

I hate how prominent meganobz are now, especially considering how expensive the kit is. The combat patrol war boss in mega armor needs them to be run, the mek in mega armor is one of the best characters, hell even gaz needs you to take them. It just sucks.

One last observation because the game store crowd insisted on making me think about this: AT is underrating Zodgrod by a large margin. Despite the name of the ability, Super Runts gives all those bonuses to *models* in his units, not just the grots. That includes the runtherds and even more importantly, himself. The grots will only be fighting in melee against almost everything on 4+ to hit, 5+ to wound (4+ if you're T3 or less), but those two runtherds are another six attacks on 2+ to hit and 2+ to wound vs. T4 or less, 3+ to wound up to T9, and 4+ to wound against anything short of warlord. No AP on any of that, but still kind of a lot of saves coming. And when the fight gets to the ork turn with them not advancing, there's all those pistols too, which stop being so funny when the hit on 3+ and wound T5 or less on 4+ for even more saves. The real prize is Zodgrod his own bad self, who gets five attacks on 2+ even into a to-hit penalty, wounding up to T6 on 2+, T7 on a 3+ and up to T13 on 4+, all with -2AP and D2. He's reliably killing 2-3 2W marines per turn, and he's doing it from behind a wall of 22 bodies, the last two of which will by T5 2W and -1 to wound in melee, and if the unit somehow gets wiped in ranged combat you'll have to slow roll when it gets close, 'cause that "runtherds count as T2 to shooting if there were any grots there at the start of the volley" doesn't apply to him. You'll have to finish his 5W at T5 and a 6+++ save off the hard way. That's a surprising amount of durability for a 170 point package, although it all falls apart if you can Precision him to death. The round of the Waaagh (which could very well be on one if you're building toward an alpha strike force) those crappy grots are now effectively 2A at WS4+, wounding up to T5 on 4+ while the runtherds are 8A at WS2+ and S6 with +1 to wound, while Weirdbeard is S8 with the same bonus, so wounding all infantry and some light vehicles on 2+ or 3+. And all of that is moving a base 12" after the initial scout 9" with access to the +2 advance/charge strat if you somehow need it, making hitting into the enemy deployment zone to tarpit something entirely viable. Think you'll see Zodgrod blobs in play, and they'll be managing surprise kills pretty often until people realize he's as fighty as a warboss, way faster than you'd expect, and much harder to wipe out than 170 points probably ought to be. GW could tone it down some by changing the leader ability so it didn't affect Zodgrod and the herders, but something tells me they'll have higher priorities than nerfing a previously unsellable model. Last I looked the FLGS still has all eight of teh ones GW shipped without asking permission.
